May Giveaway

Master Detective Frame Oli & Harry Graphic 45
Morning Everyone,
if you follow me you'll know I'm a total G45 addict, and have been inspired to create with the unique vintage themed paper collections Diane (Owner G45) and her design team bring us, since I found them back in 2011.

One of the things I always get excited about is the signature page, a picture on a page just waiting to be bought to life.

You may remember my Compendium of Games kit, out last year and decorated in the Master Detective paper collection. (the inspiration for the lit was the tiny banner that read ' The Game is afoot' on the signature sheet. I made two of them, one for Oli and one for Harry.  Oli had his at Christmas, with a little note inside from mum, and on Christmas afternoon he sat down with his hand made chess board and challenged Harry to a game of chess ......... it lasted over an hour and a half.  H won!!!
I took two very quick pictures, (not the best) and decided to create a framed photo from the same paper collection to capture the moment. Here's how it came together.
I started with one of my 12 1/4" x 12 1/4" box frames, painted it black and put one sheet of 'Get a Clue' in the base.
Then I cut off the outer frame keeping the gent on the side, the characters, mounting them on mdf tiles, using a different number under each piece to build up the layers, and trimmed down the inner frame to edge the photo of the boys, which was mounted on two sheets of chipboard to keep it flat.

Then the fun part, arranging and sticking all the elements into the frame around the photo to create a dimensional memory.  You can just see the chess board in the bottom left of the photo.
Ta da ...... a finished memory.  The outer sides of the frame are covered in strips of 'Web of Lies'
Oli & Harry Master Detective Graphic 45
Loved it........   and it only took three sheets of paper.  The boys loved it too ............

  1. Oh that is wonderful - one of my favourite G45 ranges too because it's great for masculine cards, which I love making, and some of the elements are also perfect for Halloween cards, and as I don't buy any specific Halloween stash, I can be stuck when asked for a card. That frame is a fantastic way of using the papers.
