July Giveaway Winner

Toucan Party Card Avery Elle
Morning everyone, I'm back from my staycation, feel refreshed and inspired and ready to get back into the craft room, which, amazingly is 1 today WHOP WHOP. :-)
Thank you if you left a comment on our July Giveaway post.  As always I loved reading them.  Random.org has chosen comment No 16 as our lucky winner this month , left by Karen on 5th July.

Huge congrats Karen.  Please e mail your address over to me at mycreativespirituk@gmail.com and I'll arrange for your goodies to be shipped out to you.
Our Giveaway this month will be up on the blog on 4th August.

Todays project - inspired by my sisters love of the Guinness Toucan I thought these fun toucans in the Avery Elle stamp set would make a great Birthday card for her.  The mood of the card is really apt for the tropical weather we've been having here in the UK too.

To make - take a 6 3/4" x 4 3/4" white card panel, and using an ink of your choice create stripes with the Altenew Watercolour Stripes stencil.  I used Black Soot Distress Oxide ink.
On white card stamp out your chosen images and sentiments with black ink and colour in with a mix of red, orange, yellow, black and green pens. Cut out the images (if you don't have the coordinating dies) leaving a narrow white border around the edges.
Using the largest of the dies from the Lawn Fawn Slide on over die set, cut out two black fun foam circle frames and one white card circles for each card you make.  To create a sunset background for your card blend Ripe Persimmon and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks on the white circle using a sponge dauber or blending tool.
Once you have all the elements prepared for your card, use a little tacky glue to stick the black circle frames together, position and arrange the elements on the striped background panel. (portrait or landscape works for this design). Use tacky glue to adhere them into place, use foam tape to give dimension to the toucans and add glossy accents to the Toucans bodies and the balloons for effect.
Attach the panel to a 7 x 5 white card base with a tape runner/double sided tape to complete the card.......... and Ta Da you have a card with a big WOW factor.  .

Launching the File Folder......

Hi everyone, it's Friday and launch day for our latest project - the File Folder.  I had loads of fun making the samples altered here in two gorgeous paper collections to give two totally different looks to the same File Folder Cover Set.  .   Measuring 10" x 7 1/4 x 2" the sturdy File Folder Cover set is laser cut from 3mm MDF, has a magnetic closure inset into the covers, opens top reveal the option to add a noticeboard section on the inside cover and a ring binder that holds four layered pages. These can be made with or without pockets and pull out photo mats.  I've added a tuck spot option for the pages too. These allow you to slot pictures onto the pages without sticking them down. That way you can always see the beautiful papers you've chosen to decorate your pages in, like  like the Mad Hatter below.  I added black clips into the samples too to hold more pics and ephemera on the pages.   and right in the centre there's an acetate waterfall se
