Going Vintage with Graphic 45

Le Cirque Carousel - Candy Box Crafts & G45
After a whistle stop trip up to Nottingham this morning to pick up samples from Jones I've spent most of the day recovering after all the excitement and fun at the Trade show.  I doubt I'll get to do any crafting ahead of our retreat this weekend so thought I'd share one of the samples I made for the Roy and Steve's stand.  If you're a G45 fan you'll recognise the papers…… it's Le Cirque, the second collection I crafted with at the start of my crafty journey three years ago.  I have to admit I have quite a crafty stash of this truly vintage collection just waiting for the right project to come along, and it did.

When the guys mentioned they had a new piece in their collection they wanted to showcase at Stitches I knew that was the project I'd been waiting for.  It was s showstopper on their stand and a best seller too.

The kit comes flat packed and when assembled looks like this.

With a little gold paint, some texture paste for the horses manes and tails, some templates and of course some fabulous papers it was transformed into a truly vintage carousel.  It sat on motor on the stand too.  I can't believe I didn't take a picture of it!!

Available to order via Pink Tulip and for retailers Jones Crafts. Sadly the papers are no longer available.

Thats all from me for now so enjoy the rest of your week, and I look forward to catching up again soon :-) C

  1. Oh wow, this is so lovely! And I'm gutted to in one go have discovered this gorgeous paper and learn I've missed out on it! lol. I've recently started quite the love affair with G45 (I've not been crafting that long... about 18 months), and have just ordered my 4th collection. Can't wait for it to get here!

But this project really is plain stunning! Such fabulous attention to detail, and everything just comes together beautifully! x

    1. Hi Lyn, lovely to hear form you. The sizes for the carousel are Height 300mm Diameter 255mmI comes flat packed along with a detailed instruction leaflet included to aid assembly. Its the cutest model to put together. I jazzed up the horses with some texture paint and me being me added tiny muzzles cut out of very thin strips of white card and then painted over them in the gold. It took forever but was worth it. I'm off to Pink Tulip tomorrow and will mention your interested in ordering one. xx Hugs from little old England :-)

  6. Good Evening Clare, and WOW! what a fabulous project. I would so love to be able do something like this for our Granddaughter - she would just adore it I'm sure. I too missed out on these papers and tried just about everything to get my hands on a set. It's so sad when they discontinue them because for me their appeal is everlasting! Can you tell me, do Pink Tulip have an on-line "shop"? I've been to their website via your link and noticed that they say that they now stock the beautiful Pion Designs papers. What I don't see though is how to view or order them? Do they sell to the public or are they strictly trade? Many thanks. Thank you also for sharing this fabulous carousel with us and I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening.
