Christmas JOFY style and a trip out to sea

Evening everyone from a wet and windy Cornwall.  It's blowing a hoolie here and the rain's  torrential.  Before the storm came in we headed out on a boat this afternoon.  The plan was to take a trip up the River Helford  to Frenchmans Creek, past a house that was the inspiration for Daphne du Mauriers 'Rebecca', but the last trip had been cancelled so we hopped on a boat and took a trip around the harbour with Captains Mate Mat. Loved being on the water, lots to see including a seal. We ventured out as far as the castles built by Henry VIII and then turned to head inland with the weather following us. Definitely cleared any cobwebs away today.
I was delighted when Jo Firth Young asked me to be one of her wingmen for the launch of her new stamp plates JOFY39 JOFY40 that Leandra launched yesterday over on the Paperartsy Blog.  I lug Jo s style and stamps, they work so well with crayons, pens, inks and paints and getting creative with them is always exciting. This year we have Skinny Trees and Snowmen a fabulous Cake dome full of baubles, extra embellishments and beautiful festive wand fabulous painted images that pop off the card. I can't wait to make all my Christmas cards for this year with them.

I shortened the skinny tree and used one colour paint and puddles of water to thin it down made my little Christmas Tree Card.
There's lots more inspiration in the launch video below and all the samples by Jo and all her wingmen are on the Paperartsy blog too. click here to hop over.
Well it's cocoa time here in the Falmouth so I'll say goodnight, have a good week, thanks for calling by and ladies am looking forward to seeing you at tomorrows workshop in Bodmin. :-)

  5. Love your monochromatic treatment on these cards! It's so nice to see fussy cutting of stamped images...one of my favorite techniques. Love seeing the photos of your beautiful country..."armchair travels" for those of us who are unable to cross the pond. Thanks!
