February Giveaway Winner and getting creative with shadow boxes

Candy Box Crafts Shadow Box and Molly Blooms Stamps A h uge thanks to all who left a comment on our February Giveaway post .  I had a great time reading them all.   Random.org  chose number 178 as our lucky winner this month and the lucky lady who left comment no 178 was SusieQ3.  Congratulations Susie.  Please would you  mail your address to me at  mycreativespirituk@gmail.com  and I'll get your goodies in the post to you.   Its been a while since I've got out my Copics and Molly Blooms stamps but had a really chillaxing time earlier this week getting creative molly blooms style with one of the Candy Box Crafts shadow boxes.  I used the 6 1/2" one to showcase this country scene of Molly on a picnic.  Once I'd chosen the papers I wanted to use, and the colours for the images all I had to do was a bit of colouring in. I'd forgotten how time flies when your colouring and how long it takes. There's over ...

Magical Mother Goose

I thought I'd share this cute  little display cabinet with you all. Made back in Novermber as a DT project it was showcased yesterday over on the  G45 blog  along with a gorgeous mini tag album by Annette.  The cabinet came flat packed and included the outers for the three little albums already cut to size. A perfect project for 8 x 8 papers and off cuts you may have left from other projects too.  It really is teeny weeny.  I used black card to make up the albums and then combined papers, tags and banners from the Mother Goose collection to decorate the case and the middle album. The other two albums have blank pages like little mini scrap books." Enjoy today, thanks for calling by and catch up again soon  :-)

Lovely Layouts

Botanical Tea Layout - Graphic 45 It's that time of year again, the DT call for G45 is on, so if you're applying I wish you all the best. It really is the most wonderful team to be a part of.  There are some gorgeous collections to be creative with but I think the Botanical Tea has to be one of my favourites ever.  It's just so pretty with so many beautiful images to work with.  I used just a couple of papers for this layout, and a Cor'donations paper  to frame the picture.  Picking out the blossoms to match the ones that were climbing up the quaint cottage we came across in Helston as we started out walk around the river estuary. We did have a well deserved cup of tea when we'd finished our walk at the picturesque church cafe that overlooks the estury after our walk too.  There are more layouts over on the G45 blog by Susan and Anne, if you'd like to head over there to take a peek just  Click here  . Just before I go ther...

A very interactive album in true Charlie Jones style packed with lots of new techniques to learn and then take away to use on other projects.  And we had only two and a half days to do it in …………….  and here's the video of the full project  Its oh so quiet Its o so still you're all alone  an then…………………... the weekend began ……………... Sylvia had a surprise weekend booked late on Thursday night by her lovely husband.  She had no idea she was joining us until she got to the hotel on Friday and had the best time speed scrapping her way though her project. Going Vintage with Graphic 45

Le Cirque Carousel - Candy Box Crafts & G45 After a whistle stop trip up to Nottingham this morning to pick up samples from Jones I've spent most of the day recovering after all the excitement and fun at the Trade show.  I doubt I'll get to do any crafting ahead of our retreat this weekend so thought I'd share one of the samples I made for the Roy and Steve's stand.  If you're a G45 fan you'll recognise the papers…… it's Le Cirque, the second collection I crafted with at the start of my crafty journey three years ago.  I have to admit I have quite a crafty stash of this truly vintage collection just waiting for the right project to come along, and it did.   When the guys mentioned they had a new piece in their collection they wanted to showcase at Stitches I knew that was the project I'd been waiting for.  It was s showstopper on their stand and a best seller too.       The kit comes flat packed and when assembled looks like this. ...

Another show comes to an end

Great last day at the Trade show.  Its always sad when a show comes to an end but it was smiles all round on the make and take table again. Huge thanks to John for inviting me to run the make and takes for him, and for inviting me back onto the stand at next years Trade show. That's the first booking for 2015.  I'll have to buy a new diary now - or make one maybe lol!.  I've met some lovely retailers over the last three days, put faces to names made loads of new friends and really had a ball.  Thanks to everyone who called by the stand to say hi to. It's back to reality tomorrow putting the final bits and pieces together for all the lovely ladies who are joining me later this week for some crafty mayhem at my retreat.  I'm hoping to find some time to make something for the blog too before then, fingers crossed. Thanks for calling by, and catch up again shortly. :-)
