Little Boxes ...........

Top of the morning to you from a very grey and wet Warwickshire.  I arrived home just before 1am on Thursday morning after two great shows on Hochanda with Hannah and Alex. Huge thanks to everyone involved in the shows for your help and support.   If you got to watch the shows you might recognise the box above. (Large This N' That box).  I decided to alter it in a different way by adding a recess to the lid and then made a feature in the 1/4" deep centre section by adding lettering and a few of the cute little outfits from left over paper used on the sides.  It's quite easy to alter a chipboard kit with a craft knife or paper trimmer and adding a recess keeps the top of the box flat too - easier to store and use.  After finishing the lid I covered all the pieces of the box with paper, piecing in the border sections to the base papers to give a flat seamless finish to them. Then I assembled it from the inside using construction strips to join the pieces...

Precious Memories.

Happy Wednesday to you.  I hope you're weeks going well.  I've just taken Harry to college and enjoyed the drive through the countryside on this fabulous May morning. Its a wonderful 15 degrees outside and I'm thinking I should be outside in the garden rather than working inside :-)  Maybe after lunch!  After a lovely weekend out crafting I've been beavering away back here at home with the gorgeous Precious Memories papers from Graphic 45 finishing off my latest vintage styled photo album.   I chose Kaisercard Bluebell card stock as the base colour and loved how it worked with all the papers and colours in the collection.  The album's full of interactive pages and pull outs to showcase all those precious pictures we have of our children, grandchildren and maybe even great grandchildren. Here's a few more pics and the video link too if you d like to see the whole album. If you'd like to make the album yourself here's the link to the  ...

Welcome Baby with a Precious Memories Keepsake Box

Morning everyone, I'm home after some fun shows at Create and Craft and have been enjoying our April sunshine and planting a few plants in the garden.  I'm really excited to be sharing today's project over on the graphic 45 blog along with a fabulously talented Romy Veul who's also sharing a delightful baby card.  Here's the link if you'd like to head over and take a look.  Graphic 45 blog I went for a crisp blue theme for my  This N' That Baby Box ( kits are  now back in stock ) but it would look just as gorgeous altered in pink. The box was painted with Sky chalk acrylic paint by Paperartsy and then altered using Puppy Dog Tails, Precious Memories and  Pat a Cake 12 x 12 papers.  I love the creamy colours of the patterns and solids and used pale blue 6 x 6 paper to alter the trinket tray and to make the flowers and cover the oval on the lid.  The paper weight is perfect for flowers. There's a few more pictures below and...
