a soft breeze is blowing.......

Hi my crafty friends, just a pop up post from me today. I've been looking for some sea themed stamps to make some simple cards with for a while and found the Lawn Fawn ones I used in an earlier post and this stamp set by PaperArtsy.  I love the pesky seagull and his cheeky 'up to no good' look.    For my quick card I made Mr Seagull the main feature adding a hint of tumbled glass distress ink to a 4 x 4 white card square before matting and layering it up to create a really simple but effective card.  Here's the rest of the stamps in the set. Lots to play with.........................  CM-Ocean  ttfn and catch up again soon :-) C

Graphic 45 introducing..............

A very happy Monday to you.  If you're a Graphic 45 fan and follow their blog you'll know that they have been introducing the amazingly talented members of the 2016 design team over the past couple of weeks.  I've loved reading about everyone and seeing what they've designed with the gorgeous collections. Today is Ambassador intro day and I'm really excited to be joining  Jim (US) and Andrew (Australia) on the G45 blog and sharing what we've been up to with our first project.  Thank you Diane, Charee, Aimee and the G45 family for this fabulous opportunity to work with you all for another year and share G45 love around the world. Huge thanks to Joanna too who writes all the amazing posts on the G45 blog. Follow the link below to head over and take a look at all the intro's and toady's Ambassador projects by Andrew, Jim and myself. http://g45papers.typepad.com If you're a follower of mine you'll know I love making and sharing how to make v...

Well hellloooooooo my loverly, hows your day goin' ....   Harry's dungarees went down a storm ... tick in the box for Mum there lol!!! I thought my luck was in too, big time on Friday night.  Had an e mail from lottery HQ with good news about my lottery ticket. When I logged into my account I'd not won the millions I'd imagined and spent between 2 and 5am (was still up) ........ just the amazeballs sum of £2.50.....................  to add to the three lucky dips I've won in three weeks.  Now, what to spend it on lol!!  My night of no sleep is catching up on me so I've grabbed a coffee and sat down to catch up on some of the Glastonbury coverage on the TV - not a muddy boot in sight lol!! and thought I'd share a how to make with you.  I used a couple of Lawn Fawn stamp sets and distress inks to make these fun little cards.  Heres how to build it up if you fancy making one yourself. the supply list is at down at the end of the post.  Yo...

A New Crafty Make to share with you all .......

Happy Friday to you.  Very sad circumstances bought my oldest and dearest friends together last night for a girly get together.  Sarah, if you're reading the little old blog today it was lovely to see you :-) and Linda I'm so sorry for your loss.   I started typing this post whilst listening to the breaking news that we (the UK) are to leave the European Union. I decided not to stay up and watch events unfold but hope you're not too pooped if you did. After listening to the BBC updates for most of the morning  it leaves me wondering if Boris will be leading the country come October......  On an entirely different note I found a pair of funky dungarees for Harry Bean and they're now winging their way here. I can't wait to see him in them and hope I chose the right style.  Today's crafty make is a new style of album.  I've called it a perpetual pocket album as it never stops unfolding.......  I've altered mine in papers from the Halloween...

Make yourself a Concertina Album

Morning everyone, what a wet washout of a weekend we had here.  Rain rain and more rain kept me in crafting after having a bit of a sort out of all my left over papers and embellishments.  I put together this fun little concertina album using Voyage Beneath the Sea left overs.  Measuring 6 1/4" x 4 1/4" its the perfect size to use the smaller 6 x 6 papers and you can fit your 6 x 4 photos in it too.  A great little album to keep in your handbag or to make as a keepsake from an event.  You can add as few or as many pages as you like and with it's ribbon closure you can just keep filling it up. Here's a few more pics from inside and a video link on how to make it too.  We had a great night at Harry's college last night.  I can't believe he's reached the end of his two years there.  The Art, Fashion and 3D Design students put on a great exhibition of their final end of year pieces and parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings...

ooooooh there's that Tiger again

I'm lovin this stripy guy so much I made an album just for him, well a new binder actually, covered in the new DIY Craft paper from G45.  It's great for covering larger areas or bigger projects and is perfect for bookmaking too.  I went for the butterfly side of the Curiosity Collage and Butterflies roll which works well with the tones in the Safari themed papers. You do get butterflies in the jungle don't you lol!!!   Here's a few pics and a new video of the whole album and how to make your own binder, my style too.  once you've got the basic techniques you can make them any size you like.  this was a screen shot on the I pad - here he comes ................. prowling in the night (I love tigers)  and here's the link to the full album and how to make the binder; I'm just waiting on the delivery of a new video camera - the old one really was on it's last legs but in it's time it's well travelled and has filmed over 900 videos....

Craft yourself a funky photo wallet

Good morning and a very happy Sunday to you.  It's all quiet here, kiddiwinks are still fast alseep so I thought I'd grab a coffee and do a bit of blogging.  Its been a fun week and now my laptop is back, up and running I've been on a roll with projects and videos. We've had happy mail arrive too all the way from Portland Oregon.  Before I share todays' project with you I must send huge thanks to Diane, Charee, Aimee and all the team at Graphic 45 for packing up and sending the awesome amount of products that have just arrived all the way from Portland, Oregon.  I've shared them all in a video over on You Tube (link below) so you can see the fabulous range of goodies that we can craft with and will be sharing some crafty ideas on how to use some of them over the coming months too.   Now for todays project.  I was having a mouch through some old projects, came across the Christmas themed photo wallet I made way back and thought I"d create an upda...
