WHOP WHOP it's the end of the week:-) Happy Friday everyone.  Another week has whizzed by and we're counting down the days (not weeks) until Harry heads off back to Uni for his third year.  Amazing!!  For Stamptember I thought I'd share how to make these three cards  each decorated with water coloured floral sprays.  I used the Botanical Garden stamp set, coordinating dies and the new Water Colour Palette from Altenew.  I love colouring and, when I'm not working on paper based projects get out my pens/pencils and paints and colour.  I'm no expert but it definitely makes me happy :-). Happy Friday every one.   I've been having a bit of a rummage through my paper drawers this week, and used up  some papers left over from other projects to make a few cards for my card box. I've made tunnel cards before, but re sized these ones to fit the G45 4" x 6" cut aparts on the 12 x 12 sheets and ephemera cards.   Each card takes one 12 x 12 sheet of paper with pictures and images you can cut out/or left over ephemera cards, one sheet of coordinating 12 x 12 patterns and solids and one sheet of coordinating 12 x 12 cardstock.   After a few cuts with the paper trimmer, and a little fussy cutting the cards are ready to assemble.  If you fancy having a go at making them yourself follow the video below.  You'll find the supply list and what to cut at the start.  Have a fun weekend what ever you're up to.  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone coming along to Saturdays workshop at 'Box of Delights' in Northamp...

We all love to make a card or two and now I've got the space to store them I've been making a few myself.  For todays cards I used the July Hero Art card kit and 'The Stampers Friend' by Be Creative.  It's the latest stamp platform to hit the market - thank you Justin and Gordon for mine.  I love the colour, the notched ruler, the non slip base and the four magnets (rather than two), perfect to hold your card in place while stamping.  It has a great price point too which makes it a valued addition to your crafty stash without breaking the bank.  I used Archival black ink to stamp my chosen images onto white 160gsm card, and Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers to colour in the images.  I love these pens and seem to be using them more and more these days.    Once my images were coloured in I used the co ordinating dies and my Baby Blue die cutting machine to cut them out.  (Does anyone know where you can get replacement cutting p...

Well todays the day we head off to Cheltenham, cars heaving to drop Harry off at the start of his new adventure.  Lets hope its not race day again.  We go sooooo stuck the last time we went Harry nearly missed his Uni interview.  My plan is to send him a card a week with a little something inside it as he's always saying he never gets any mail.  Card no 1 is going under his pillow when he's not looking ................. for him to find and open once he's settled in.   I always have fun when I get out the distress inks and loved making up this card. Morning everyone, I cant believe it's Thursday and the 1st September too.  Time is flying by toooooo fast at the moment.  Have been spending some time with Harry before he heads off to University in a couple of weeks, gathering up supplies for his new home. Just the Ikea run left to do and the I think he'll have everything he needs ....... for the first week at least lol!  We all had a great time over at SirStampalot last Saturday. Thanks Janice for putting on our demo day and huge thanks to everyone who came along to join us.  We had a competition, won by Linda and now have a new ' Box with a View ' kit to add to my range of Alter Me Kits over on the website.  M orning, morning, morning and a very Happy 4th July if you're reading this State side :-)   Another pop up post from me today to send you greetings on this historic day.  My quick card was made form Communique left overs and one sheet of July Montage from the Children's Hour collection.  The card measures 7" x 5 7/8" - slightly larger than we would usually make but it works and with the envelope punch board we can make envelopes to fit any size card these days :-)  I started by adding the base paper to the card front cut 1/8" smaller along the width and depth, added the strip of Penny Blacks the cut apart mounted on black card.   I added the stickers, the large one mounted on foam tape and then Lady Liberty fussy cut from a cut apart and also mounted on foam tape) and the sentiment, using the alpha stickers mounted on black 5/8" circles.    The last step was to add glossy accents to the stickers and a hint of sparkle to Liberty's...

Hi my crafty friends, just a pop up post from me today. I've been looking for some sea themed stamps to make some simple cards with for a while and found the Lawn Fawn ones I used in an earlier post and this stamp set by PaperArtsy.  I love the pesky seagull and his cheeky 'up to no good' look.    For my quick card I made Mr Seagull the main feature adding a hint of tumbled glass distress ink to a 4 x 4 white card square before matting and layering it up to create a really simple but effective card.  Here's the rest of the stamps in the set. Well hellloooooooo my loverly, hows your day goin' ....   Harry's dungarees went down a storm ... tick in the box for Mum there lol!!! I thought my luck was in too, big time on Friday night.  Had an e mail from lottery HQ with good news about my lottery ticket.
