The Countdown to Christmas continues ...

Morning everyone, I've been busy creating the samples for the project options we'll be making at my Crafters Weekend Retreat next month. Today I'm sharing the the  Lantern Kit  and  Large Box with Aperture Kit  altered here as an alternative Christmas Advent Box. Both projects have been altered in papers from the Joy to the World collection by Graphic 45.     The lantern kit, cut from 2.25micron grey board comes in four flat packed A3 sheets, and when assembled stands at approx 20" tall.   It's such a versatile kit that can be altered to suit any occasion.  I used three traditional Christmas coloured papers from the Joy to the World collection and gave the lantern a festive make-over, added acetate behind the double arched centre section which can hold three battery operated tea lights for a really bright shine, or just one as shown, for a warm twinkle. The sections of the lantern come apart for easy storage too.  I've added die cut trim over the sid

Making Sweet Treats for Christmas

Hi Everyone, today I'm sharing two fabulously festive gift ideas with you.   If, like me you love making and giving hand made sweets and treats as gifts at Christmas you'll love these two boxes of delights.   Our Petit Four Box kit holds one layer of hand made goodies, or bought ones if you wanted to add a hand made touch to the packaging.  Altered here in papers from the Christmas Night collection by Scrapmir and full of hand made marzipan fruits.  It takes a couple of 12 x 12 sheets of paper to decorate the box, which is assembled using our Signature Black Construction Tape.   The embellishments were die cut from an old Sixxix Bigz die, silver stars by Tonic and a flair and chipboard piece from the paper collection.  If you'd like to know how to make the marzipan fruits click on the vide below.  They're so easy and inexpensive too.    Our deep mini window box doubles up as a box for a mini album, which you may have seen and a box that holds two laye

Small wooden numbers 1 - 25 are also included. Acetate sleeves keep all the little boxes in their place when the calendar is packed away. Full assembly instructions (digital download) are included with the kit too.    Here are a couple of ways to assemble t

Life's a Journey Art Deco Style Travel Folder ...

Hi everyone, Happy October. Can you believe it? I'm not quite sure where this year has gone but it's definitely been a fun one full of changes, lots of new projects and products.  For most of us our holidays are a distant memory and all we have to remind us of the fun times we had are our pictures.  Create a gorgeous memory book with this new Art Deco Travel style collection and our File Folder Kit/Bundle.  I used the bundle (PDF Assembly Guide - digital download included), made up the folder covers and pages and then used a mix of florals, purple, turquoise  and black papers to decorate it.   When assembled the cover measures 10" x 7 1/2" x 1 3/4", has an integral  magnetic closure and holds to add a 1" D ring binder mechanism to hold an assortment of pages inside. There's a new style acetate pocket page in this project too.  I used the Art Deco Travel Poster cut-aparts from the 8 x 8 and 12 x 12 paper pads to add additional pops of colou
