Safari Adventure is here ...............

Hello and a very happy Bank Holiday everyone.  I hope you're having a well earned break and enjoying the weather too.  The saga of the laptop continues......I called in to pick it up today to be told it won't be back for another few days.  So I've grabbed a few minutes of time on Oli's to share a quick post with you.  I had no idea how much of my  life and work relies on the apps on my lap top and how lost I would be without it.  I've used the time I can't create any workshops, videos or new projects to alter some boxes for a commission I had and have been stroking and reluctantly sniping into the papers form the Safari Adventure collection.  Have you seen them..........  in true G45 style there are stunning.  The prints are fabulous and the images awesome and there's a new 12 x 12 pad of patterns and solids to work with in this collection too.     I had a pile of off cuts left over so thought I'd put this little shadow box together and do a bit of

Empire Day Celebrations

Well hello my crafty friends.  Long time no speak I know.  Tragedy struck just over three weeks ago, as I was almost at the end of filming my latest on line workshop.  I decided to update the operating system on my lap top overnight and somehow it killed the hard drive.    I decided to have a short break while it went off to the apple hospital to be repaired.  I've felt like a fish out of water without it.  Luckily most of the files and folders have been recovered .......  and with a new hard drive installed I should be back up and running again next week... fingers crossed.   We had a great time on Tuesday at Scotch Lodge Farm.  Isobel had asked me to design a two page layout to celebrate what used to be called Empire Day but is now Commonwealth Day and we spent a very red white and blue day crafting our pages together.  Here's a few pics    Huge thanks ladies for coming along and to Isobel for the fabulous lunch and our cucumber and smoked salmon sandwiches and

a fabulously crafty weekend

evening everyone, hope you've enjoyed your day.  I had all my fingers and toes crossed this morning as 8 o'clock approached that the builders wouldn't return for another week of drilling next door. Oli was just home from his first night shift and needed to have a good sleep.  Luckily they didn't.........  so Oli got to sleep while I worked.  I've been unpacking my bags from the weekend too.  What a great time we had at Daisy's Jewels and Crafts.  Huge thanks Wendy & Jeff for your fabulous hospitality once again, and mahusive thanks, Pat, Leslie, Angie, Hillary, Michelle, Jane, Jenny, Sharon and David for making the weekend the funniest I've had in a long time.  Hillary if you're reading this have you watched the Peter Kay Car Share episode yet!!!!.   In between all the banter, cake, more cake and the Eurovision Song Contest we constructed, painted, snipped and stuck our projects into shape. Here's a few pics   and here's some

My Travels .....................

evening my crafty friends,  hope you've had a productive week.  Mine's been a complete nightmare.  My lovely neighbour is having his house rewired and after mentioning there might be a bit of noise, went away for a week.  The drilling started at 8ish on Monday morning and has finished this afternoon - I think... hope. Concentrating during the day has been impossible so I've been burning the midnight oil trying to get my new album and workshop designed, written and filmed.  It's not quite there yet but will be up and available on the website next week.  Here's a few sneak peeks ........  made from the Cityscapes Collection by G45 its the perfect Travelogue for your holiday pictures and memories.  Love the colour combinations in the collection.  There are muted blues and browns, bright oranges and blues and so many ways to mix up all the colours together. It's been really fun working the papers into the album and I'm looking forward to sharing it with every

Sharing some new projects....

Altered This N' That Boxes and Photo Frame set  Hello my crafty friends.  I can't believe it's been a week since I grabbed a coffee and sat down to blog. I've tried to take some time out to catch up on myself, create a couple of new projects for Graphic 45 to be shared next month, tidy up the web site stock, do the accounts and a whole host of other things that all of a sudden needed to be done. Sometimes I wish there was more than one of me so I could get everything done in a normal working day - but sadly there isn't lol.  The warm weather has bought visitors.  Next door is being rewired and the lovely workmen have had the radio blaring and all doors and windows open.  Mine have been shut tight as I've tried to work. There have been some feathered comings and goings in the front garden for a week or and now much to my horror we have a nest, eggs and perky birds taking turns to sit in our lovely ceanothus bush right outside the front window.   Much a
