A bit of crafty fun

Helllooooooo there and a very happy Bank Holiday Monday if you're here in the UK.  I was really inspired to get inky after two crafty days away at Birds in the Barn and with an afternoon all to myself yesterday I got out my distress inks, crazy bird stamps and my ever increasing collection of JOFY stamps.  After a lot of stamping and cutting out that seemed to go on for ever lol! I chose my colour palette and got inking.  Here's how the project came together  I used Antique Linen as my base colour, inked all the white card frames and stepped centre pieces, then highlighted the frame with brick wall detail in the same colour before sticking the pieces in place on the frame.  I inked up all the images I'd chosen to go in the frame. Jo's stamps are great for inking.........  and then started to build up the scene starting from the left of the frame.  I use stacks of tiny chipboard squares on the back of the pieces to lift them up from ...

Bureau and Pocket Album Artisan Style

Good afternoon everyone.  I've got a few minutes to spare before heading off to pick son No 2 up from a hard day at college being creative so thought I"d grab a cup of tea and share my latest project with you.  The Bureau and Pocket Album is our weekend project I'm teaching at Daisy's Jewels and Crafts over 30th and 31st May.  I started with the base kit yesterday, and have altered the bureau and finished the pocket album in just over 24 hours, with a sleep and time off in between so am hopeful we'll get everything finished in the two craft days.  I've used papers from the Artisan Style collection by Graphic 45.  I love the colour combinations and making the pocket album was fun working the different colour ways together.  I couldn't go too mad with the pages as the album has to slide into the shelf under the top section and above the cabinet, so kept them simple ... ish!"  Here's a few more pictures..........  I think there are a c...

Precious Memories.

Happy Wednesday to you.  I hope you're weeks going well.  I've just taken Harry to college and enjoyed the drive through the countryside on this fabulous May morning. Its a wonderful 15 degrees outside and I'm thinking I should be outside in the garden rather than working inside :-)  Maybe after lunch!  After a lovely weekend out crafting I've been beavering away back here at home with the gorgeous Precious Memories papers from Graphic 45 finishing off my latest vintage styled photo album.   I chose Kaisercard Bluebell card stock as the base colour and loved how it worked with all the papers and colours in the collection.  The album's full of interactive pages and pull outs to showcase all those precious pictures we have of our children, grandchildren and maybe even great grandchildren. Here's a few more pics and the video link too if you d like to see the whole album. If you'd like to make the album yourself here's the link to the  ...
