Happy Birthday Aunt P xx

I'm not sure if my lovely Aunt P will pick up this post but I actually managed to make a card and send it off in time for her @£ Birthday today so the real deal should have arrived on her door mat in time.  I hope you have a wonderful day and Uncle Russ spoils you rotten lol!!  It's another card one made using the JOFY stamps, distress inks and Copics.  My phase continues Sheila lol!! I love them.  It's back to prepping demo's for the G45 shows on Create and Craft TV next weekend for me.  Have a crafty weekend yourselves and do call back tomorrow if you ve entered this months draw.  You could be the winner :-) C

Just Stampin!

Happy Friday all. It's all go here today, H is after a lift to the golf club but appears to have gone back to bed :-) Ol's keeps bringing me last minute washing to get cleaned before he heads off on his hols tomorrow and is in need of a lift to work at and I'm sitting here smiling.  It's the last day of the summer hols before H starts college on Monday and with Oli away too quiet days with no interuptions are just around the corner lol!.   Today's card is the last of this months design team projects for Darren at Jones Crafts.  I've really enjoyed working with a different collection, it's challenged the old brain cells and got me thinking outside the box.   I used the Mistletoe Stamp Set by Kaisercarft, and red, green and black ink. The wreath background was stamped onto a separate piece of card cut out and adhered to the card before the fussy cut elements were added.  A great way to add some depth and dimension.  I added a recessed ...

Happy Birthday JOFY style

Well what a wash out yesterday was.  It rained and rained and then threw some more rain in for good measure.  We've had a blocked drain pipe just outside the back door for a while, but the drip drip drip from it drove me bonkers yesterday so out came the ladder and I finally cleaned it out.  No more drips but I was one soggy girly by the time I'd finished.  Andy looked on in amazement from inside the house telling me I really did pick my moments lol!!!   We trundled as far as Homebase to get a new light fitting for my work area.   got soaked again and came home lol!! It was soooooo busy.  Definitely a DIY day for all.  Hopefully Oli will fit it today.  My card, now on its way to my Aunt for her birthday was stamped with more JOFY stamps (Shelia thought I was having a JOFY phase as I added another set of stamps to my basket at Pink Tulip on Saturday, and I think she was right lol!!) I love them, and they're great for colouring with C...

Delphiniums (blue) and geraniums (red)

delphiniums (blue) and geraniums (red) Card While I was making the little tent card on the blog a couple of days ago, the tall flower spikes in the JOFY stamp set reminded me of the blue delphiniums we used to have in the garden and a poem I used to love reading when I was small. I was from the wonderful world of AA Milne, he of   Winne the Pooh   fame and was called  'Now we are Six' .  Its packed full of the most fabulous poems, all of which I loved but this one was always my favourite, so I thought I'd share it all with you.  The Doormouse and the Doctor There once was a Dormouse who lived in a bed
Of delphiniums (blue) and geraniums (red),
And all the day long he'd a wonderful view
Of geraniums (red) and delphiniums (blue). A Doctor came hurrying round, and he said:
"Tut-tut, I am sorry to find you in bed.
Just say 'Ninety-nine' while I look at your chest...
Don't you find that chrysanthemums answer the best?"   The ...

Today's the day!!!!

JOFY Style card  mornin mornin mornin, brr its gone right chilly here all of a sudden, almost autumnal.  No more nipping out at the unearthly hour of 5.30am without a cardie.  The darker mornings are starting to creep upon us too but on a positive note I do get to see the sunrise on my early morning round trip.  This mornings' was just beautiful. It's GCSE results day today for Harry bean and all students across England and Wales.  We've all got our fingers crossed he's done well to head off to college next month to start his 3D design course.  I'll keep you posted :-) I'm a bit nervous but H is as calm as a cucumber!!! as usual and still fast asleep.  Anyway, on to a bit of crafting, my card today is a cutie little 5 1/2" square tent card, bought in a pack of 10 from Whichcraft UK, and altered using stamps by JOFY, Distress Inks and watercolour pencils. I love the tall flower spikes in this stamp set and the sketchy look you get from u...

Christmas Cards in August!

Card Mistletoe Collection Kaisercraft  It was workshop day yesterday down at the Stamp Attic making Tea Bag Trio sets with the petty Botanical  Tea papers by Graphic 45. Here's most of the group and their crafty makes.  Thanks Wendy for inviting me back to the shop and ladies for coming along and having a fun time. It was lovely to see some new faces too:-)  This months DT box from Jones Crafts was packed with papers, collectables from the Mistletoe Collection  an August Kaisercraft release now available to retailers from Jones.  The papers are full of bold patterns, bright colours and have a really modern feel to them.   I love the mix of printed and speciality papers and the collectables are really fun to work with.  The ask was for cards, and here they are: It's a 5am start tomorrow morn so I'm going to head off to bed.  Enjoy the rest of your eve thanks for calling by: www.mycr...

An Enchanted Tower

Top of the morning to you. I hope you're weeks going well.  I'm really excited to be sharing the first of my Graphic 45 Ambassador projects with you today, here and over on the Graphic 45 blog  too, along with Jane Tregenzas' amazingly enchanting 'Happy Ever After' layout.  Two very different ways of using the stunning An Eerie Tale papers. Do head over, take a look and leave a comment.  TI'm always being asked where my inspiration comes from and to be honest its the papers. With this collection I was inspired by the fairy tale images and as theres always a tower in Fairy Tales I set about designing the basic structure for the tower from chipboard and then had great fun rummaging though my die collection to find castle themed dies for the ramparts and windows.  The three sections come apart and the top two could be used as a  sweets/trinkets keepsakes box on their own. The tower stands on a wooden candlestick that I up-cycled, and the hand...
