Graphic 45 Design Team Announcement

It seems to have been an age since Graphic 45 put out their design team call, and another since the shortlist of finalists was announced but today IS the day and the 2015 design team has been announced over on the G45 blog . Congratulations to everyone who got through that tough final round and commiserations to those finalists that didn't. All the projects made for the final were truly amazing.  Huge congrats to Jane, Jim, Laura and myself lol! as we continue as Ambassadors for this fabulous company and huge congrats to Alberto who joins us too.  Wow!  I have to say I was really touched to have been asked again and am looking forward to year No 4 as part of the G45 family, working with such a lovely family, some amazingly talented designers and having a ball creating and inspiring others to not only buy and stroke the gorgeous collections, but to take up their scissors and cut them into gorgeous and elegant projects. Thank you  Diane, Charee and Aimee...

Gorgeous Gilded Lily

Gilded Lily Samples from Dianes' Workshop at Graphic 45  Well a very happy Tuesday Evening to you all.  It's been a lovely day here and after a complete disaster with some lost video footage after I decided to update the OS on my Mac I took myself off to buy a couple more plants and enjoy the sunshine.  Plants look fab in the garden and I"m back cutting out more papers to film again tomorrow!!  There will be a Home Sweet Home album and on line workshop coming out this week, just not today lol!!    With the sneak peeks happening this week for Graphic 45's latest releases I thought I'd share the picture of two Gilded Lily samples from Dianes' workshop in the US.  Gorgeous aren't they.  This paper collection has a Marie Antoinette feel to it and in pale peaches, blues and caramel its definitely one to add to your stash.  We're taking pre orders for papers and stamps over on our website so if you fancy getting your hands on this delightful...

a crafty weekend at Sirstampalot

I'm just home after two fabulously crafty days at Sirstampalot, Peterborough with Janice, Andy and lots of lovely ladies and gents.  Thank you so much everyone for coming along to our demo day yesterday.  We had quite a crowd and lots of fun.  I hope everyone left feeling inspired to cut into their papers and not stash them away to be stroked :-)  Today we constructed tag boxes and altered a few of the large tags to go inside them using papers from the Time to Flourish collection by Graphic 45.  Here's some pictures of them all.  I love them ladies :-)     There's still a few days left to leave a comment for the months giveaway. If  you'd like to be in with a chance to win this months blog candy click the link below and leave your comment before midnight on 30th April. April Giveaway  I'm going to pour myself a drink and settle down to watch the last episode of Poldark...

Time to Flourish Year Book

Well the slugs seem to be staying away lol! - so copper bands must be the answer.  No shoots on the sweet peas and sun flowers though!! but the rain is doing the watering for me.  I've a new little album to share with you today.  A Time to Flourish Year book designed to hold one photo and some journalling for each month of the year and make a lovely memory book to look back on.    I thought I'd share the video of the project with you  and here's the link to the project sheet if you'd like to make the year book yourself. Love these papers :-) Time to Flourish Year Book Project Sheet Well thats all for today folks. There's another new album to share with you over the next few days so do call back if you have a minute or two.  Catch up soon :-) C

Just for Karen

Well another week has passed us by.  It's been lovely here, sun shining all week - lovely. I've been out and about and got to  potter  about in the garden planting seeds too.  I keep checking to see if they're coming up yet - ever the impatient gardener.  For the first time I've put copper bands around my hosta pots.  I've had enough of the slugs that seem to home in on my little garden from miles around and eat them every year so am hoping copper bands are the answer :-)  Will wait and see - with the salt pot at the ready.  I wanted to share the lovely cards Karen made for the Create and Craft shows last week with you today and also to with her all the best when she joins the thousands of runners taking part in this years London marathon.  Here she is with her official number so if you're watching do cheer her on if she runs past.   I'm heading over to Sirstampalot in Peterborough and joining Janice and Andy for a Graph...

Welcome Baby with a Precious Memories Keepsake Box

Morning everyone, I'm home after some fun shows at Create and Craft and have been enjoying our April sunshine and planting a few plants in the garden.  I'm really excited to be sharing today's project over on the graphic 45 blog along with a fabulously talented Romy Veul who's also sharing a delightful baby card.  Here's the link if you'd like to head over and take a look.  Graphic 45 blog I went for a crisp blue theme for my  This N' That Baby Box ( kits are  now back in stock ) but it would look just as gorgeous altered in pink. The box was painted with Sky chalk acrylic paint by Paperartsy and then altered using Puppy Dog Tails, Precious Memories and  Pat a Cake 12 x 12 papers.  I love the creamy colours of the patterns and solids and used pale blue 6 x 6 paper to alter the trinket tray and to make the flowers and cover the oval on the lid.  The paper weight is perfect for flowers. There's a few more pictures below and...

Mum and me

Evening everyone, I thought I'd squeeze one last post in before heading off to Peterborough in the morning. This was the last of the layouts I've put together for the show set and also my own scrapbook album that I'm slowly building up for the boys.  This is their mum (me) and their grandma (my mum) who sadly they never got to meet. Its nearly 40 years since she died and this is one of the few photo's I have of us together. I thought I'd create us a layout for my book using the Once Upon a Springtime signature sheet, a backing paper and the large frame from the collection. If you're a G45er you'll know that Graphic 45 always give us great signature sheets in each collection and it's great fun to deconstruct them, and restructure them to make a fabulous picture.   I hope you can join me for more g45 fun tomorrow at 1pm BST and again on Friday at 1pm and 6pm BST.  You can mail into the shows too at studio@createandcraft.tv and go into the cup to w...
