It's a 3 for 2 Weekend

Happy Friday to you.  Have you had a good week?  It's been a busy one this end.  Long days, loads done and another weekend is here again................:-) I spent last weekend with Janice and Andy at Sirstampalot, Peterborough.  It was lovely to see  everyone who came along to the demo day, and the workshop on Saturday. We crafted with the gorgeous Mon Amour papers altering beautiful Bureaus.  Can't believe it was a whole week ago!  After doing all the things I had to do I got to decorate samples of the two new kits we have out this week.  The first (pictured above) is a single/double window box.  If you love to make hand made goodies to give as gifts these are just perfect.  I found that the single layer box holds 16 Ferrero Roche - not for long though!!! Could also hold marzipan fruits, hand made mince pies and all sorts of other things too.  the deeper one holds double :-)  Our second product is the fl...

Christmas JOFY style and a trip out to sea

Evening everyone from a wet and windy Cornwall.  It's blowing a hoolie here and the rain's  torrential.  Before the storm came in we headed out on a boat this afternoon.  The plan was to take a trip up the River Helford  to Frenchmans Creek, past a house that was the inspiration for Daphne  du Mauriers  ' Rebecca ', but the last trip had been cancelled so we hopped on a boat and took a trip around the harbour with Captains Mate Mat. Loved being on the water, lots to see including a seal. We ventured out as far as the castles built by Henry VIII and then turned to head inland with the weather following us. Definitely cleared any cobwebs away today.  I was delighted when Jo Firth Young asked me to be one of her wingmen for the launch of her new stamp plates JOFY39 JOFY40 that Leandra launched yesterday over on the Paperartsy Blog.  I lug Jo s style and stamps, they work so well with crayons, pens, inks and paints and getting creative w...

Crafty Maids in Mullion

Hello my crafty friends.  Hope you've had a good week.  I'm back in Cornwall for a few days and it seems the weather is turning.  Not so hot any more and a real fresh breeze was blowing across the bay today.  We did get down to the beach for a while which was lovely.  Blew the cobwebs away that seemed to be hanging around in my head this morning too which was great.  There's nothing like a sea breeze to wake you up is there.  We had a wonderful workshop at Scrapbook Magic yesterday constructing and altering my craft maid kits, which some of you may know was named after all the Cornish maids that have been coming along and crafting with me in Mullion for the past few years.  We had a great time and all the Craft Maids looked lovely altered in the various paper collections by Graphic 45.  Margaret thank you once again for your fabulous hospitality and for inviting me back, and ladies thank you of coming along and joining in the crafty fun....

Altered Boxes and new workshop dates for the diary

Morning everyone, and a very Happy Friday to you.  It's been another busy old week and this eve I"m heading off to Norfolk for a couple of days. I haven t been that far east for quite a while so am really looking forward to it.  It's demo day tomorrow at Jo Channon's shop, Lets Create in Tattersall and then a workshop on Sunday.  If you're able to come and join me for a fix of G45 and a coffee I'd love to see you.  Solange and I are sharing our altered boxes over on the Graphic 45 blog today.  Paper Mache Boxes are just perfect to alter and of course the sky's the limit once you start cutting away.  I used the Time to Celebrate papers for mine, made flowers from the patterns and solids and added co ordinated mint green tissue paper inside to wrap a gift in.  For more pics and info click here to hop over to the world of G45. I've got a few classes scheduled for the next couple of weeks.  If you fancy joining me at one of the craft...
