It's launch night JoFY style

Evening everyone, I'm really excited to be joining up with Paperartsy and Jo Firth Young this evening for the launch of Jo's latest stamp plates.   It's always a pleasure being one of Jo's wingmen,  and we've been spoilt with something a little different this time.   Four plates packed full of fabulous feature and background stamps to be creative with.  Join Leandra below, meet Jo's new kids on the block and see all the samples made by Jo and her wingmen from these fabulous new stamps. I didn't take step out photos as I made my samples so am sharing the final shots taken before they were posted of to PaperArtsy HQ.   I love this little boy. He takes me back to when mine were small and had the same look on their faces when they'd been up to mischief............!                                                     ...

February Crafters Retreat with Clare

Morning everyone, I hope I find you well.  It's been another creative week here at........I'm trying to think of a name for the house but haven't managed to come up with one yet so I'll just say the craft studio lol!.   With our February Retreat just a month away and my Graphic 45 craft weekend in Cornwall this weekend to head off to later I thought I'd share the projects we're making with you.  The first is my new Altered box and album, packed full of interesting pages and gorgeous colours.  A two day project that we're making in Bodmin  using papers from the Botanicabella collection  and Option 1 at February's retreat in both the Botanicabella collection and Steampunk Debutante too (under construction!!)  Our alternative choice for those who fancy making two projects we have our new perpetual calendar kit, a fun painty stampy project for day 1 and a post bound album in the Mon Amour papers for day 2.  both pictured below....

A crafty start to the year

Perpetual Calendar Kit by My Creative Spirit Happy Sunday to you all.  Classes have started again this week with a fun day at my lovely friend Jane's on Thursday.  We made three cards using Paperartsy stamps and paints and had loads of fun practicing a variety of techniques with inks and paints.  Thank you Jane for organising our day.  Look forward to the next one :-)  Yesterday I headed down to Birds in the Barn, Marks Tey with a new kit for us all to get crafty with.  Karen, Rachel, Natalie, Tracey, Michelle, Ann and Pam had a ball choosing their colours and altering their perpetual calendars.  Another painty fun day had by all. In Janets' absence Karen laid on a fabulous spread for us for lunch, spoilt us with her amazing cakes in the afternoon and and kept us topped up with tea and coffee as we crafted away the day. Thank you Karen. Pam if you're reading this could you mail me your address ( mycreativespirituk@gmail.com ) so I can send y...

It's sale weekend at My Creative Spirit

A very happy Saturday to you from a really cold and wet UK.  Looks like snow's finally on it's way here.  Boys are excited, it's Harry favourite weather.  Have told him not to get his hopes up as it definitely won't be enough to get out snowboarding lol!!!  or sledging.  We used to have tons every year and go sledging down the hills in the park when I was small, but its just not the same these day's. Well not here in the middle of little old England anyway. Auntie Annie is up to stay for a few days and we're off to a family Christening tomorrow.  So looking forward to catching up with all the family.  She s in the kitchen rustling up our tea so I thought I'd do a quick post to let you know it's sale weekend over in the shop.  If you fancy grabbing a winter bargain before midnight tomorrow (17th Jan) just follow the link below.                                 ...

A new Album, New Workshop Dates and Retreat updates

Whop Whop let the weekend begin.  It's going to be chilly round these parts. Definitely gone colder over the last couple of days but we still haven't got the heating on full time.  Amazing considering its January ..... great for the heating bills lol!!!  I've been beavering away this week making my new 'Year in Pictures' album from the Children's Hour paper calendar collection.  Its all about your favourite photo for each  month of the year. You may have been thinking this collection is just to make children themed projects but it's really not, as you'll see when the video for the album goes live on 13th Jan over on my You Tube Channel.  The great thing about the papers is they all go with previous Graphic 45 collections so if you , like me have a secret stash of G45 papers you can make a uniquely themed project, and get to use up some of those papers we all seem keep but never use.  Go on..... cut into them .................... y...

Morning  everyone, jut a short post from me this morning in memory of Mum who sadly died 40 years ago this month.  Today would have been her 81st Birthday so I thought I'd make her a card to celebrate.  Lily of the Valley were one of her favourite flowers and Sheena's stamps were perfect to create this floral spray.  Have a good day if you're back at work after the Christmas break, thanks for calling by and look forward to sharing some more crafty inspiration with you shortly.  www.mycreativespirit.co .uk

A very good morning to you from a very stormy Cornwall.  Hope your New Year Celebrations went well and you've recovered from all the excitement of seeing in 2016.  All the ships horns in and around Falmouth harbour went off at midnight as the fireworks lit up the sky and the stormy sea.....  very moving start to the new year.  Love is definitely in the air over on the Graphic 45 blog.  What a fab way to start off another uber crafty year.  Jane and I are really excited to be sharing projects made from the beautiful Mon Amour collection.  Just perfect for valentine and wedding inspired inspired projects!
