One week and two great Graphic 45 workshops

Well hello my crafty friends, what a week it's been. Oli and Sophie are back together after a few weeks apart, are all loved up and have announced they're looking for a house together and Harry Bean came home for five days over Easter too with washing like you wouldn't believe!!! The house was heaving and looked like widow Twanky's launderama lol!!! until I took him back to Cheltenham on Wednesday.  Around all the excitement in the house and a few days off  I spent a great day on Easter Saturday running a workshop down in Brixworth, Northampton with Sue and her crafty ladies creating with the gorgeous Portrait of a Lady papers.  Thank you Sue for all the hard work you put into the day, and ladies for coming along and joining me for the workshop.  It was lovely to meet you all.  Enjoy your albums :-)  I was back at work for a couple of days on Wednesday before packing up the car and heading off to Milford Haven, Wales for a crafty workshop o...

April Giveaway and our Easter Eggstravaganza

Ohhhh I see I'm skidding in with minutes to spare to launch the April Giveaway here on the old blog. It's been a funny old day..... ! After designing this fun kit and launching is as the Curio Cabinet at my retreat last weekend I thought it would make a great giveaway this month. I have a soft spot for this collection (Olde Curiosity Shoppe), it was the one I worked with on my first design team project for Graphic 45 back in the day. I've actually managed to finish my sample today too just in time to share a few pics with you before the witching hour strikes.    I used 1/2" and 1/4" black card punched circles to mount each of the pieces and added glossy accent and clear wink of stella to various elements to pick them out.  It's been a while since I've done some serious fussy cutting and as always I have a pile of things left over that didn't make the final cut lol!!!  in my less is more kind of a world. Hope you like .....?  So if ...

One Kit two styles

Hellllooooooo my lovely crafty friends, I'm back in the zone this morning and raring to go lol!   As you know I'm a paper guru or 'The Paper Queen' as Dave Bradford (Create and Craft) always called me.  Give me a sheet of paper and something to stick it on and I'll bring it to life and create something gorgeous for us all to make.  Most of my samples are decorated in papers but my kits can be altered with paint and all the fab mediums that are on the market too.  Occasionally I'll dabble in paint and inks but they're not my go to thing. However my lovely friend Lyn Coogan is definitely an painty and inky kind of a gal :-) and loves all things spooky too.  I was totally blown away when she called by the hotel on Friday night with her finished  halloween take on my L antern Kit and wanted to share it with you too. WOW Lyn ..................totally amazeballs !!!!!!!!  there's so many details including a real false eyelash  .............
