Lets get Inky .............

Happy Friday everyone, can you believe another week has whizzed by and it's almost the weekend again.  Olivia, if you're reading this, loved our chat this morning and I did come home, grab a coffee and get bloggin' no G lol!!! (A Radio 2 Friday thing if you're a listener). Last weekend I was invited along to host a workshop as the celebrity guest at the UK Stampers Network 20th Anniversary event down in Bicester.  Mickey, thanks so much for the invite and ladies it was great to meet you all.  What a fab anniversary event it was.  Lots of creative workshops, oodles of cake, fab chit chat and a really tasty Chinese too.  Here's Mickey, the founder of the UK Stampers Network holding the Anniversary cake - it was soooooo tasty..    and all the ladies at the event  If you follow me you'll know I'm a paper girl first and foremost, but as I was at a stamping event thought we'd make A6 notebooks and create fun inky, stampy covers for th...

Fun ideas for your crafty projects

Morning everyone, we've woken up to sunshine this morning after a very wet and rainy week here. I've been running an early morning taxi service for Oli as his car is really poorly, and have to say despite my moaning (lol!!) I've enjoyed the early starts to my days. ......  Today I thought I'd share a couple of fun videos on how to make slider cards and create neat magnetic closures for your projects.  I included both ideas in some of my latest projects, we've had fun making them in recent workshops and I finally got round to doing the videos for them yesterday.  Neat Magnetic closures   Here's how to make them  Slider cards to fit your 6 x 4 cut aparts   Here's how to make them Have fun if you make these yourself.  I'm off to host a surprise workshop tomorrow - so exciting :-)  I've got kits and bags to pack up today so will love you and leave you to enjoy your day.  Thanks for calling by and look forward to sh...

Little boxes.............

I've been updating samples of my products for my show stand and decided to use papers from the Portrait of a Lady collection on some of the boxes from our range. I've gone for a green theme (my all time favourite colour) and coordinated a mix of papers together for different looks on each of the boxes. It's such a pretty collection with so many options for co ordinating colour and designs, I have to admit it took me a while to decide on which papers to put with which and I love how they all work so well together.  A while ago Sophie (the new girlie in the family) asked if I would make beautiful things for her once she had a house to put them in.  Now that's happening I decided to alter the large box (above) into a Memory Box for her.  She loves it and was really touched that I'd added the date of her first date with Oli.  Here's a few more pictures of it taken from various angles: The number stickers were perfect for the date on the front of th...

June Giveaway

Hellllooooooo my lovely crafty friends.  I'm back from a longer than planned, really enjoyable break from crafting. It's all change here, Sophie (Oli's girlfriend) has moved in ahead of their move to their new house together, Oli's started a new job yesterday and Harry is about to come home for the summer having finished his first year at Uni.  I thought it would be a good time to de-clutter the house and seem to have spent the best part of three weeks making trips to charity shops and the tip around some long overdue gardening and all the other jobs that needed doing around the house too. Now the new paper collections from G45 are here in the UK whop whop, I thought I'd challenge myself to make a project using one 8 x 8 Master Detective Pad just to get a feel for the papers and how to work the designs together, and here it is.   In true G45 style there's a hint of Halloween threaded through this Sherlock Holmes themed collection, along with fabulous pr...
