What a week!!!!

Hi every one,  Its been a painful and frustrating week.  Staples are out, all 28 of them, how painful was that, and I've had a suspected DVT in my lower leg.  Panic panic!!!!!  Luckily I slept through most of the week in a drug induced state, which was a bonus.  Anyway, today thankfully the inflammation seems to have gone down a little and the pain is not so bad so fingers crossed things will improve over the next few days, and I'll be able to get about again.

  5. Morning Clare, I was so upset to read your Blog today, you must have been in such pain, notwithstanding having all 28 staples pulled out, it makes me shiver to think about it, then to be told about the DVT, thankfully like you say, you have been drugged up for most of the time. Sounds absolutely awful, hopefully that will be the worst over with, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Saw your April page on G45, it is absolutely gorgeous, I love everything about it, and the 'bunnies' are divine.

I have booked a place on your retreat in January and got my train tickets, can't wait, here's hoping you will feel well enough.

Lots of love from Patricia xx

    1. Hi Patricia, thanks for the lovely message. I think what went on last week is all quite normal but I did feel really down as I'd felt quite good during the first few days out of hospital. On a positive note my lovely leg !!! is not anywhere near as painful today and it looks like the swelling is slowly going down leaving me feeling much brighter today. I saw your comments on the G45 blog thanks for being an avid follower :-) I'm so excited your coming to the retreat , It will be really lovely to meet you. Have a great rest of your Sunday. Big hugs from me xx

  6. Ouch 28 staples and suspected DVT - you poor thing, you haven't had a good time of it but hopefully you are improving daily and it will all be worth it in the end. Take care of yourself and don't try to rush things - it doesn't work !!!

    1. Hi Tam, lovely to hear from you. It got to me last week but I'm sure its all part of the recovery process. I'm feeling much brighter today. Maybe I'm wanting to run before I can walk ....... which I can't do, and your right it doesn't work lol.. We had a laugh when the nurse took out the staples. Oli my 19 year old watched and thought it was highly amusing when, after the first couple I flinching before the nurse pulled each one out. He even offered to hold my hand which he hasn't done that for about 12 years!!!! Have a good rest of your weekend and speak soon. Hugs C x

  10. Oh, dear, Clare...so sorry! Thank God for drugs to take you (temporarily) away from the pain...but I know they are a sort of two edged sword! Rest, rest, rest, and heal. Praying for a better week for you next week.
