Altered Art

Its been a while since I posted something so I thought I'd share some altered art with you.  I've been tinkering around with the 8 x 8 matchbook boxes, part of the G45's staples collection and with the help of some really black paint, a very sharp knife, a few sheets of chipboard, some fabulous paper from the Olde Cutiosity Shoppe collection by G45 and a little of my own inspiration I transformed an 8 x 8 box from this:

to this Curio Cabinet:

I couldn't resist adding a mini copy of the classic book by Charles Dickens on top of the cabinet

I hope this inspires you to make an altered project too :-)

July Giveaway and crafty Weekend in Milford Haven

Morning everyone, Happy Monday to you.  I"m home after a fabulous weekend with Cheryl, Jan and Chris, at their fabulous shop, In House Interiors in Milford Haven.  It was a full house on Friday for our Artisan Style workshop where we constructed, painted and altered pencil cases and albums.  Saturday was demo day and another full house.  Cheryl, Jan & Chris, thank you so much for hosting the event for all your hard work and your hospitality, you really did spoiled me :-)  It's been quite a while since I've travelled over the border to Wales so I was quit excited as I passed the Welcome to Wales sign and then Raglan Castle. For those of you unfamiliar with our isle, Wales is full of magnificent Castles, sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a gorgeous coastline.  I had to have a quick pit stop to see Raglan Castle. Saw my first Dragon too :-)   After a journey that took me across the middle of the country and th...
