Having fun with Layouts

When I originally started my crafty hobby some years back I made layouts of the boys to capture all my favourite moments of them and now have an album for each of them but stopped making 12 x 12 pages when I came across the crafting community on you Tube and turned my hand to making albums and memory books.

After sorting through all the photos on my laptop recently I found some I though I'd like to make into pages again and heres a couple of them tat featured on the Paper Crafters Library blog a couple of weeks ago.

.The first is of the boys (and me) when they were 9 and 4.  Why do boys always feel the urge to pull a face just when the camera goes click!!  the photo really captures their characters and I love it to bits.
I used Cor'dinations for the back ground and Bohemian Bazaar papers by G45 for the detail along with a few of the gorgeous Petaloo flowers that cam in our G45 DT boxes.

The second layout is a real favourite.  its of my mum (left) and her two sisters taken in 1945 at Lower Spode Farm in shropshire where they spent 5 years during the war with my Grandma, Uncle and Aunt.  Sadly mum and Auntie Sheila died in their 40's so this layout was a really special one ot make.  i used the12 x 12 Ladies Diary papers by Graphic 45.

I had lots of fun putting these two layouts together, although it took ages to decide where to put each element lol.  If you fancy putting one together yourself there s a sketch below to follow.  I'd love to see your finished project and share your pictures on my followers gallery.

Happy crafting :-)

July Giveaway and crafty Weekend in Milford Haven

Morning everyone, Happy Monday to you.  I"m home after a fabulous weekend with Cheryl, Jan and Chris, at their fabulous shop, In House Interiors in Milford Haven.  It was a full house on Friday for our Artisan Style workshop where we constructed, painted and altered pencil cases and albums.  Saturday was demo day and another full house.  Cheryl, Jan & Chris, thank you so much for hosting the event for all your hard work and your hospitality, you really did spoiled me :-)  It's been quite a while since I've travelled over the border to Wales so I was quit excited as I passed the Welcome to Wales sign and then Raglan Castle. For those of you unfamiliar with our isle, Wales is full of magnificent Castles, sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a gorgeous coastline.  I had to have a quick pit stop to see Raglan Castle. Saw my first Dragon too :-)   After a journey that took me across the middle of the country and th...
