Clare with some of our lovely ladies and their albums |
We've had a crafting extravaganza of a weekend, at our first "My Creative Spirit" Graphic 45 weekend retreat, held at the Holiday Inn, Leamington-Warwick. We had a challenging 12 Days of Christmas memory book to tackle with all the trimmings in true festive spirit.
Helen, General Manager, James and Anna the Event Managers and all the staff at the hotel pulled out all the stops, both before and during the event to ensure that everything went as planned and everyone enjoyed their time at the hotel. It was fantastic. A Huge thank you to you all and a huge huge thank you to all our lovely ladies for coming along, enjoying themselves and making the weekend such a huge success. The feedback we received was quite overwhelming and very much appreciated.
Below are a few pics of everyone crafting away, cutting into their papers and enjoying themselves. I had to take a picture of our event sign too as it was our first :-) I've been to many events over my years in the manufacturing industry but to see our name on the plaque was wonderful.

ReplyDeleteHi Sammy, thanks for stopping by and leaving your message. At the February retreat we re making a Couture Album using the latest collection just about to be released by Graphic 45. Just looking at the papers I know the album will look fab :-) Would be lovely to see you xxx
DeleteSounds fabulous!
DeleteHave started hinting. By putting a huge money box in the middle of the table and telling him there's better be enough money for a crafty weekend away in there by Christmas, lol!
Absolutely fabulous weekend. Lots of hard work (and that was just getting me to cut the papers!!!!!!!!). Really enjoyed it and making some new friends. I think Clare might stop Terry and I sitting together again because we were having too much fun and making lots of noise. The project was fantastic and I will get it finished. The sweetly bar was very popular. Looking forward to January's retreat. See you at the NEC.
ReplyDeleteHi Jane, Thank you so much for coming along this weekend. I think you and Terry may be allowed to sit together again, it was great to hear you all howling :-) Will be working on the on line workshop later today so you have something to follow to finish those last bits off. We loved the sweetie bar too. Bananas R us :-) and crafty hugs Clare and the Elf xx
DeleteA brilliant weekend, I loved ever minute. Exhausting, but brilliant!! Made a fabulous new friend in Lisa. Hope to come again even though it was quite a trip for me, but worth it. You are an inspiration, well done you must both be exhausted. Debs x
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, I hope you're drive back t Exeter was uneventful and you got home to see your daughter before bed time. Thank you so much for coming such a long way for the weekend. I'm a little brain dead today but loved every minute of the weekend with you all. The crafty Elf headed off to work this morn at 4.30 but I'm still in my jim jams :-) Have a great week and hope to see you again soon. xx
DeleteHi again, just noticed a mistake in my previous comment, it was a sweety bar with lots of lovely sweets to tempt us. also forgot to mention the Crafty Elf, how could I forget. He kept popping up everywhere taking photos, clearing cups and lots of other useful jobs. well done.
ReplyDeleteMorning Clare, Lovely pics, so glad your first retreat went really well, everyone enjoying themselves and producing gorgeous keepsake albums. Well done all.
ReplyDeleteLots of love from Patricia xx
Hi Patricia, lovely to hear from you. We had an amazing time over the weekend. It was a busy one but great fun and loads of laughter too. Heads a bit fuzzy this morning but the cogs have started crunching over the next project already for our February retreat which is already 2/3 full Hope all's well with you and you had a lovely weekend. xxx C
DeleteImagine me on bended knee here - please please please come further up north.Manchester has some great hotels for retreats and so easy with train links for folks to get to. I don't drive and so can't make it to you down there plus the cost of travelling makes it too expensive. I'm sure you could fill a venue if you asked people on your blog if they would be interested as I'm sure I'm not the only one,

I don't drive either, and know what you mean! I live in Leeds (where no-one ever does anything, lol), and getting *anywhere* by train is ludicrously expensive. Not to mention stressful! x
