District Garment Vintage Layout
I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas.  We did, and this year we really were all together as a family for the first time in many which made it all the more special

It's been busy in the house with visitors and visiting so I haven't really had a change to take a good look at the two fabulous DT boxes full of goodies that arrived over the last week.  One was from G45 with the amazing new collections and staples being released at CHA in January. which I'll share with you once the sneak peeks have been featured over on the G45 blog, and the second was from the lovely Darren at Jones Crafts .  Present overload or what!!!!  In Darrens box of goodies was the gorgeous new papers and embellishments by Marion Smith, beautiful buttons by Jones and some other goodies too.

I did manage to grab a couple of hours to myself late one night and put together the vintage layout above using three of the papers from the Garment District collection that went perfectly with the photo of my Grandparents wedding taken back in 1928.  There's a hidden memory card behind the photo with more info on the picture too.  Heres a few close ups pics of the detail around the layout.

  3. Good afternoon Clare, So pleased you had a wonderful family Christmas. Sounds like everybody had a lot of fun. I have to agree with Ruth Ann above, this is such a lovely way to show off such cherished photographs of ones family and friends. I just love it. Sadly I'm not a facebook person so won't be able to take part in the new Jones Craft giveaway, but I shall certainly be paying their website a visit very soon to have a look at their products in closer detail. I know it's not quite New Year, but I would like to wish you and yours all good wishes for 2014.
    Happy New Year!

  4. Hi Clare, So pleased your Christmas was fabulous, and you were all together once more. Ours was quiet but lovely, we saw the family on Christmas Day, we all went out for Christmas Lunch which was great. I have been furniture removing in and out of my craft room,, which was touch and go whether we got the bookcase into my craft room, but eventually managed it after taking off the legs, but the preparation in both rooms beforehand was unbelievably tedious haha, yesterday was spent re-arranging the living room ready for decorating after all the festivities are over. Tomorrow I will be sorting out all my card and paper, as it was all just shoved into the trays when they were put in the bookcase, so they are all jumbled at present, I will be sorted one day haha !!!!
My Daughter keeps hinting (not very subtly either) that when I am baking again she would like a lemon and coconut cake !!! and my eldest Grand-daughter wants us to take her shopping for wallpaper on New Year's Day to B&Q so I can use my over 60's card to get her 10% off haha, then she will be asking me to put it up - there simply aren't enough hours in my day haha.
If I don't post beforehand, I would love to wish you and yours a Very Happy and Healthy New Year, and I am already looking forward to your inspiration in 2014. Take care.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

July Giveaway and crafty Weekend in Milford Haven

Morning everyone, Happy Monday to you.  I"m home after a fabulous weekend with Cheryl, Jan and Chris, at their fabulous shop, In House Interiors in Milford Haven.  It was a full house on Friday for our Artisan Style workshop where we constructed, painted and altered pencil cases and albums.  Saturday was demo day and another full house.  Cheryl, Jan & Chris, thank you so much for hosting the event for all your hard work and your hospitality, you really did spoiled me :-)  It's been quite a while since I've travelled over the border to Wales so I was quit excited as I passed the Welcome to Wales sign and then Raglan Castle. For those of you unfamiliar with our isle, Wales is full of magnificent Castles, sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a gorgeous coastline.  I had to have a quick pit stop to see Raglan Castle. Saw my first Dragon too :-)   After a journey that took me across the middle of the country and th...
