A Quick and Easy Make

Mother Goose Notice Board

I was sorting out my boxes of projects over the weekend and found this Memories notice board made for C & C last year.  I'd had the MDF back board for a while, one of Robs (Mr MDF Man) and decided to turn it into a magnetic notice/chalk board.  It was a really quick make and useful too.
I painted the board black and then embossed the word at the top with Stampendous black embossing power to give it a shiny look.  The frame mount is made from a piece of A4 chipboard, painted with blackboard paint.  the top section of the frame was made from four strips of 1 1/4" chipboard stuck over the larger piece to form the frame and covered in checker paper.  Before covering the board with the green paper I put magnetic strips down both sides and then made little counters from 5/8" black card circles that also have magnets in them.  There are a few magnets stuck to the back of the frame base too to hold lots of pics/notes.   The frame is mounted on two sheets of 8 x 10" chipboard so it's raised away from the main board for notes and pics to be dropped in behind it.

All I've got to do is find somewhere for it to hand……. maybe Harrys room with reminders on lol!!!

Lots of you ask if the boys mind me using their photos so I asked them.  They both said they like it and love seeing what they used to look like and what they were up to.  I have an album for each of them for the layouts and a box for the larger projects too.  They always ask what I've been making when they come in and grin if I've used one of their pics.  Love them :-)

Thanks for calling by, enjoy your day and catch up again soon x :-)

For those of you unfamiliar with our isle, Wales is full of magnificent Castles, sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a gorgeous coastline.  I had to have a quick pit stop to see Raglan Castle. Saw my first Dragon too :-)   After a journey that took me across the middle of the country and th...
