The Sea is calling ……

By The Sea Bon Voyage Card - Graphic 45

Afternoon there, hope your Tuesdays going well.  I've been making cards this week, and decided to challenge myself to make a card using all of the By the Sea stamps from Set 1 that go with the By the Sea paper collection.  I love the colours in this collection. I used Sea Salt paper for the main structure of the card and stamped the images onto cream card using Nautical Blue Memento ink and then pondered over what sort of card to make.  Having never made one before I decided on a Bendy Bon Voyage Card.

As always the cutting out took a while, but once that was done the card went together really quickly.  Hope you like :-)

Here's a few close ups;

These are the bits and pieces I used to make the card if you fancy making one yourself;
12 x 12 By the Sea Papers
Sea Salt
Splash
By the Sea Stamp Set 1
By the Sea Sticker Sheet - A Skilled Sailor sticker strip
Cream Card
Memento Nautical Blue ink
Versa Colour Scarlet ink (14)
Kaisercraft Foam Dots

Enjoy the rest of your day and hopefully catch up again tomorrow with another nautical post :-) C

  4. Morning Claire, What a lovely card to brighten a rather dull morning here. This has given me a great idea for making a birthday card for my sister in law who loves anything to do with the sea, so now I have a good excuse for buying yet more papers and stamps. Just love them. Looking forward to seeing you on C&C. Enjoy your day. Housework, here I come! Love Pauline A x

  5. Good Morning Clare and I'm just loving this card, particularly the shape. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's show on Create & Craft as I should love to get my hands on some of the By the Sea papers. I see that your show is due to start at 08.00 a.m. so there goes my "lie-in". Never fear I shall be on the sofa with my first cup of coffee in hand ready for everything you have planned for us. Thanks for sharing this project with us and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

  7. Good evening Clare, just popping by to say how very much I enjoyed today shows. I was true to my word, I was up with the lark and sitting on my sofa with coffee mug in hand in good time as I didn't want to miss a second! I have to say I hadn't realised that you would be doing the DCWV show as well but thoroughly enjoyed everything about it, I'm pleased to say I ordered the By The Sea collection and am really looking forward to its arrival in three/four days time. I too am very sorry that you won't be working with G45 but rest assured we shall be here awaiting your next exciting project. Hope you enjoy the rest of your evening. Take care
