Something a little different

Florals Card - Pan Pastels
Did you wake up to rain like we did this morning.  And here's me thinking it was going to be hot and sunny again.  I was up early this morn, and while the house was quite thought I'd get out my Pan Pastels and have a crafty hour.  It's been a while since I've used them but wanted to make and entry for this months Pan Pastel Blog Challenge - Florals.
My rose is loosely based on my Granddads favourite, 'Glenfiddich' and then I used white to shade pinks purples and greens for the flowers and foliage in the background to give them a soft look.  Working on white flowers took me back to my cake decorating days and the hours of dusting white flowers that went into the wedding cakes I used to make. Heres a few close up pics of my finished card.

Well I'm off back to chat to the camera now, so have a lovely day, thanks for calling by and catch up again soon :-) C

July Giveaway and crafty Weekend in Milford Haven

Morning everyone, Happy Monday to you.  I"m home after a fabulous weekend with Cheryl, Jan and Chris, at their fabulous shop, In House Interiors in Milford Haven.  It was a full house on Friday for our Artisan Style workshop where we constructed, painted and altered pencil cases and albums.  Saturday was demo day and another full house.  Cheryl, Jan & Chris, thank you so much for hosting the event for all your hard work and your hospitality, you really did spoiled me :-)  It's been quite a while since I've travelled over the border to Wales so I was quit excited as I passed the Welcome to Wales sign and then Raglan Castle. For those of you unfamiliar with our isle, Wales is full of magnificent Castles, sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a gorgeous coastline.  I had to have a quick pit stop to see Raglan Castle. Saw my first Dragon too :-)   After a journey that took me across the middle of the country and th...
