Another crafty day at Daisy's

An Eerie Tale Armoire our retreat project at Daisy s in October
I hope you've enjoyed your Saturday and didn't get washed away in the storms that have swept over us here in the UK.   We've had a real crafty day at Daisy's making my Art Deco handbag from Couture papers.  Pics below.

I got itchy fingers last night, got out the scissors and cut into the beautiful An Eerie Tale papers that arrived on Thursday.  A couple of weeks ago Jeff and I designed the Armoire above as the project for the retreat at Daisy's in October.  It holds an album, has hangers for tags and has two drawers for nick nacs or pictures.  Cut by Roy at Candy Box Crafts it will be available to order after the retreat.  We're going for a non Halloween theme, something you can do really easily with this collection, its so versatile. Here's a couple of close ups of the detail.
And here we all are crafting away, and almost oblivious to the torrential rain outside

I'm heading up to the Stamp Magic show tomorrow so if your going I'll see you there :-) C. Catch up again soon

  3. Good Morning Clare. I just love the Armoire - it looks amazing. Thanks for showing your photos. As always everyone looks as if they are having lots of fun. Seeing their project for the day reminded me that I still haven't made a start on the handbag/album that I purchased from you a short while ago. I get a lot of these "senior moments" these days! (lol). Enjoy the rest of your day and hope you have a good day tomorrow. Take care.

  4. Morning Clare, Lovely day here in the N.E. for a change. I'm so pleased that you showed us how to use the papers in a different way than choosing a 'Halloween' type theme. I love this project and must put it on my wish list. Thanks for sharing your photos with us . i had to smile at the lady who obviously was so intent on getting to craft with you that she left her coat on. Will you be putting a tutorial on your web site for the handbag album? Enjoy your day atnthe show and keep us up to date with all of your purchases!! Hugs xxx Pauline A

  5. Evening Clare, Yesterday we had torrential rain, but today the sun has been shining and it let me do the front garden and also my neighbour's front garden, she is recovering from her second brain tumour operation, so I have been doing her front garden for her while her hubby is busy at the back building decking for her.
I adore the armoire and I absolutely love the papers you have used, this project is stunning. The piccies of your class are gorgeous, everyone 'intent' and very 'industrious'.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
