An Eerie Tale Graphic 45 - Alternative Advent Calendar |
together, but I was really pleased with the end result, and so was Roy when I sent over the pictures :-)
There's just under two inches of depth to play with in the centre section and here's a few close up pics of how I altered it:
To make the columns I ran paper and a mask through my big shot, cut out the embossed image and mounted each one on black card for additional support. Towers of different numbers of chipboard squares stuck to the back give them the depth
the floor is raised slightly to give more dimension to the centre space and columns and the steps are a separate piece of paper leading up to sleeping beauty and the wicked witch. The sweet like knobs on the drawers are made from two tiny black buttons stuck together with a 1/4" circle of paper stuck to the top, coated in glossy accents and sprinkled with glitter before the glossy accents dried.
The calendar would make a great trinket/jewellery box as well as a really unusual Christmas keepsake. If you fancy making one yourself they are available to order over in our shop.

I have been recouping from my show last weekend and really haven't done much except I did decorate a box and made a small mini album for Chelsea for Declan's special school papers that he will do over the years!! This took a lot of work on your part my friend and it is fabulous. Take care.
