Afternoon my crafty friends, hope this post finds you well. Still on a card making spree I thought I'd share this clean and simple birthday card with you. I started off with a 6" x 6" card blank and cut a 4 1/2" white card square to work on for the centre detail.
Using stamps from the sets below and archival ink I base stamped the detail onto the card square and then re stamped the daisy head and crazy bird onto some spare card. I cut these out and inked both using Dusty Concord and Wild Honey distress inks and a white Sharpie pen to add the dotty detail on the daisy head.
I used purple and green Caran D'Ache watercolour pencils to colour the base daisy and the grass detail and then added the fussy cut daisy and the bird over the original stamped image. Rangers black and white enamel accents are great to add bobbly that pop. The border detail was drawn with 04 Micron Archival ink pen and the words are mounted on foam tape so they stamp out a little. I got carried away and have 10 of them all done and in their little bags ready for my craft table.
If you fancy making one yourself heres the recipe :-)

Oh Clare this card is darling, I just love these wacky birds, they speak to my crazy side, lol. The other stamps you used look really interesting I'll have to have a look see. I just bought a set of the Pastel Caran Dache Watercolor crayons but having a bit of a difficult time with them. It will just take more playing I'm sure. Big Hugs my friend from across the pond!!
ReplyDeleteHi Clare, I love, love, love, this card, you are such an inspiration to me, when I can get the JOFY stamps, I will be trying this one. I adore these crazy birds, and I have already pre-ordered Tim's new dies that co-ordinate. These bird cards will be loved by everyone.
ReplyDeleteI have done all my cleaning, bedding, washing, dried on line and ironed, and I have also done my front garden and watered, now it has gone 'dark', think the thunderstorms are not very far off !!!!
Lots of love from Patricia xx
