Harry returned from his ordeal at the dentist and as I mentioned I was planning to pamper him. Harry had a different idea and thought I'd like to make him a Valentine Card for his girlfriend. He has been known to get out stamps, inks and pens and being my Arty has made some great cards but not today. I came up with a couple of 10 minute makes and thought I'd share them with you bubble gum pink and all ........................
The first card (above) has a cut out heart stamped in the centre from EEG03 stamp set, a red border and then the little girl and boy were stamped on a separate heart, and secured in place with a little tacky glue behind the opening. The heart and hat detail were stamped out from Pierrot Plate 4, coloured in with distress pens, stuck in place on the card front and then sprinkled with a hint of red glitter on a little glossy accents. Love it.........

Card 2
I thought this card has a hippy chic feel to it - I'm wondering which one Harry will chose.
To make take a white 6 x 6 card blank, a black 6 3/4" square and a white 6 5/8" white card square. Working on the white square use a roller and bubble gum paint to add one layer of colour to the card. Repeat with chalk and then Candy Floss paint.
Use the smaller stamps from the set to add XXX heats and script. I used Archival ink for the xxx, pink ink for the hearts and chalk paint for the script. Edge with silver Treasure Gold and stamp the large word towards the bottom right. Cover a small piece of white card with bubble gum paint and using black Archival ink stamp out one large and one small heart and the word is. Add XXX and heart detail to the solid hearts and cut out.
Use foam pads to raise up the hearts and stick in place on the background, add the 'is' word to the right of 'Love' mat on black card and then onto the front of your card to finish. Super easy ........... with a contemporary feel.

Hi Clare, Here's hoping that Harry isn't feeling 'worse for wear' after his trip to the Dentist, I empathise with him. I went to dentist a week last Thursday expecting to have some horrid treatment to my top teeth, they kept me waiting over an hour past my appointment time and then couldn't do what they were going to do as the healing wasn't as far as it should be for the next part of the process, I had psyched myself up for this and was a very unhappy bunny when I came out, and now have to go through the whole thing all over again a week on Monday !!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your Valentine's cards, which one did Harry choose ? they are equally fabulous. I'm off now to finish my hubby's birthday card, it's tomorrow (Valentine's Day), it's nearly finished but yesterday when I was due to finish it, I had an emergency call from youngest Granddaughter asking me to take her for ECG at hospital.
Take care.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
