izzy wizzy I got busy.......................

Voyage Beneath the Sea Graphic 45 Clare charvill
After a wonderful trip up north I thought I'd better get on with the project for this Fridays workshop with Margaret and her Cornish maids at Scrapbook Magic Mullion, Cornwall.   It's the last workshop at Mullion Meadows before Margaret moves premises so we're going out with a bang!!  She'll be opening the shop again, running workshops and serving cakes and coffee from her new location in Mullion village in a few weeks.
Much as I'd liked to have had a lie in yesterday after my travels Harry needed a lift to work at 8am, so off we went, me wearing that 'just got out of bed' look and hoping not to see anyone I knew.  Luckily I didn't lol!!!
I've used the Voyage Beneath the Sea collection by Graphic 45 this time. I love the sea/steampunk twist that runs through the collection.  It's a perfect choice for crafting by the sea too:-)  I like to browse through the papers before starting a project and chose the images I want to feature so I grabbed a coffee, pulled out one each of the eight papers and did some mixing and matching before grabbing the scissors and starting variation no three of my Event Organiser kit.  It's a great project, a really useful one too and once the kit has been assembled and painted the whole project including the two books that fit in the side sections can be altered from one 12 x 12 paper pad, some 12 x 12 sheets of card stock and a few other twiddly bits :-).
I love the challenge of trying to fit the images on the papers onto my projects and using as much of each sheet of paper as I can before cutting into a new one. Definitely challenged the brain cells this time and it did take quite a while to work out but I was was taking step by step photos and writing the PDF tutorial too.  Multi tasking on  a Sunday ...... shouldn't be allowed lol! If you'd like to make the project the kit is available on my website and the tutorial will be available in the Project Sheet section after the workshop next Friday.  Here's a few more pics of the finished project;

July Giveaway and crafty Weekend in Milford Haven

Morning everyone, Happy Monday to you.  I"m home after a fabulous weekend with Cheryl, Jan and Chris, at their fabulous shop, In House Interiors in Milford Haven.  It was a full house on Friday for our Artisan Style workshop where we constructed, painted and altered pencil cases and albums.  Saturday was demo day and another full house.  Cheryl, Jan & Chris, thank you so much for hosting the event for all your hard work and your hospitality, you really did spoiled me :-)  It's been quite a while since I've travelled over the border to Wales so I was quit excited as I passed the Welcome to Wales sign and then Raglan Castle. For those of you unfamiliar with our isle, Wales is full of magnificent Castles, sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a gorgeous coastline.  I had to have a quick pit stop to see Raglan Castle. Saw my first Dragon too :-)   After a journey that took me across the middle of the country and th...
