Empire Day Celebrations

Well hello my crafty friends.  Long time no speak I know.  Tragedy struck just over three weeks ago, as I was almost at the end of filming my latest on line workshop.  I decided to update the operating system on my lap top overnight and somehow it killed the hard drive.    I decided to have a short break while it went off to the apple hospital to be repaired.  I've felt like a fish out of water without it.  Luckily most of the files and folders have been recovered .......  and with a new hard drive installed I should be back up and running again next week... fingers crossed.

We had a great time on Tuesday at Scotch Lodge Farm.  Isobel had asked me to design a two page layout to celebrate what used to be called Empire Day but is now Commonwealth Day and we spent a very red white and blue day crafting our pages together.  Here's a few pics
Huge thanks ladies for coming along and to Isobel for the fabulous lunch and our cucumber and smoked salmon sandwiches and cream teas at the end of the day.
Kits are available from Scotch Lodge Farm if you fancy making the layouts yourself.
We have a new product out this week over on the website.  The Flip Front Box and Album kit is here.  It's been designed to hold jam jars too so if you like to give hand made jam and preserves it would make a gorgeous presentation box for your makes. Here's the link to the kit
Well that's all from me this morning it's off to the hairdressers and then home to see the bambino's. I've been away for a couple of days taking in the sun and sand in Cornwall. Have a lovely day, thanks for calling by and look forward to catching up with you all again soon :-)

  1. Omigoodness! So thankful you were able to retrieve the important bits of your hard drive! Computer losses are the worst! Love this layout of Queen Victoria and the jam box is beautiful. Hope you had a wonderful time in Cornwall and that you were able to relax. Looking forward to the new things you will reveal this summer. Hugs to you!! Tons of love, Ruth Ann xoxo

  2. well I just lost everything I had written you. Thank goodness you are o.k., sorry about the computer but glad they have retrieved most of your files. Some days they make me want to scream. looks like everyone had a great time creating the two page layout. I am not a scrapbooker but these are really pretty. Mark Perry shared a folded butterfly that would look cute on either a page or a piece of altered art. I am going to show the gals at my Donuts & Design class this morning and probably again next week. Thinking of embossing the paper first and then making the butterfly. Glad you are o.k. Clare and just your computer down. Take care friend.

  5. Hi Clare, Oh how awful, I thought it was strange that you hadn't posted, but thankfully they managed to retrieve most of your things. Isn't it awful, these PC's and laptop are brilliant !! and when they break down, it is panic stations !! I was working on my laptop the other day and Windows 10 (which has tried to hijack my laptop for months now) decided that it was going to install itself without me even giving permission. I was in the middle of something when it happened and couldn't get rid of it, talk about panic, it wasn't in it !! I was texting my hubby asking what I should do etc etc. In the end I had to wait for over an hour for it to install and then had to decline it and then had to wait again while it reverted my laptop to it's original Windows 8, thankfully everything was OK but I was in such a state hahaha.
A fabulous 2 page layout, absolutely fabulous. Lovely piccies too, and the new kit looks fabulous too.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

July Giveaway and crafty Weekend in Milford Haven

Morning everyone, Happy Monday to you.  I"m home after a fabulous weekend with Cheryl, Jan and Chris, at their fabulous shop, In House Interiors in Milford Haven.  It was a full house on Friday for our Artisan Style workshop where we constructed, painted and altered pencil cases and albums.  Saturday was demo day and another full house.  Cheryl, Jan & Chris, thank you so much for hosting the event for all your hard work and your hospitality, you really did spoiled me :-)  It's been quite a while since I've travelled over the border to Wales so I was quit excited as I passed the Welcome to Wales sign and then Raglan Castle. For those of you unfamiliar with our isle, Wales is full of magnificent Castles, sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a gorgeous coastline.  I had to have a quick pit stop to see Raglan Castle. Saw my first Dragon too :-)   After a journey that took me across the middle of the country and th...
