With lot's of birthdays and Anniversaries coming up I thought I'd better get card making. I love the Altenew stamps but hadn't bought any 'till this week. Thanks guys for sending them out so quickly.   One of the sets I went for was 'Beautiful Day'.  I love the options in this floral multi layer stamp set and like the JOFY stamps you know I'm doo lally about, you can get out your pens, pencils, paints or inks and create gorgeous images that are as simple or as detailed as you want them to be. I used distress inks, and a paintbrush dipped in water to colour my images stamped on water colour paper with black archival ink.  More pics of card No 2 below.
The frame on this card was die cut using the largest two dies from the Large Stitched Rectangles set from Lawn Fawn,  mounted on a fun foam frame cut out with the same dies and coloured with a hint of Fossilised Amber distress ink.

Adding the flowers to the frame gives the card a lovely airy feel.  The large flower is the centre of the large detailed rose stamp, trimmed down.

The sentiment is in the stamp set, and mounted on card die cut with the smallest of the rectangles from the set mentioned above. All I've got to do now is write the envelopes and get them off in the post.
Well thats all for today, It's just gone 6 and I"m going to down tools and chilax this eve.  Looking forward to seeing everyone coming along to the G45 workshop tomorrow and to catching up again with you on Sunday.  Have a great eve. ttfn x :-) C

  9. Beautiful cards...definitely would brighten up a gloomy day! I like how you've stamped the image to continue off the frame on the first card, but only added color to the frame stamping...nice technique. thanks for sharing your lovely work!

July Giveaway and crafty Weekend in Milford Haven

Morning everyone, Happy Monday to you.  I"m home after a fabulous weekend with Cheryl, Jan and Chris, at their fabulous shop, In House Interiors in Milford Haven.  It was a full house on Friday for our Artisan Style workshop where we constructed, painted and altered pencil cases and albums.  Saturday was demo day and another full house.  Cheryl, Jan & Chris, thank you so much for hosting the event for all your hard work and your hospitality, you really did spoiled me :-)  It's been quite a while since I've travelled over the border to Wales so I was quit excited as I passed the Welcome to Wales sign and then Raglan Castle. For those of you unfamiliar with our isle, Wales is full of magnificent Castles, sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a gorgeous coastline.  I had to have a quick pit stop to see Raglan Castle. Saw my first Dragon too :-)   After a journey that took me across the middle of the country and th...
