Countdown to Christmas 2

St Nicholas Christmas Lantern Clare Charvill Graphic 45
Morning my crafty friends, today I'm sharing the second of the three projects we'll be making next Friday.  I love our Christmas Lantern kit, and always start to feel really festive when I decorate it. This years version has been altered in papers from the St Nicholas collection (we have a choice of six projects at next weeks retreat all altered in these papers).

I've gone for the stripes again, they fit perfectly up the stand and decided on a black and red lantern with a hint of yellow inside so the flowers, mounted on black card pop out at you :-) I added a tea light (battery operated in the centre too.  Looks lovely in the evening twinkling away. The overall height of the lantern is 21", is assembled in sections and can be taken apart to be stored away until next year.
Lantern Kits are available from website if you'd like to make one yourself. Click here.
Its scrapbook day today so I"m off to grab a coffee and put my thinking cap on.  Thanks for calling by, enjoy your day and look forward to sharing another of our retreat projects with you over the next couple of days

  3. Tremendous Christmas Lantern. Love the St Nic papers too. The lantern may lend itself to becoming a bird house with one or two tweeks - close off the back and put a door on the front! Outstanding.

July Giveaway and crafty Weekend in Milford Haven

Morning everyone, Happy Monday to you.  I"m home after a fabulous weekend with Cheryl, Jan and Chris, at their fabulous shop, In House Interiors in Milford Haven.  It was a full house on Friday for our Artisan Style workshop where we constructed, painted and altered pencil cases and albums.  Saturday was demo day and another full house.  Cheryl, Jan & Chris, thank you so much for hosting the event for all your hard work and your hospitality, you really did spoiled me :-)  It's been quite a while since I've travelled over the border to Wales so I was quit excited as I passed the Welcome to Wales sign and then Raglan Castle. For those of you unfamiliar with our isle, Wales is full of magnificent Castles, sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a gorgeous coastline.  I had to have a quick pit stop to see Raglan Castle. Saw my first Dragon too :-)   After a journey that took me across the middle of the country and th...
