Only 4 sleeps to go ...........!

morning, morning, morning........... I hope you had a lovely weekend.  It's been all go here, I'm on my fifth pad of St Nicholas paper and have just finished the fifth of our fabulously festive Christmas projects!!!! for this weekend.  There's four sleeps to go and one project to finish.....................!!!!!  I'll share that one with you before Friday.
The project today is this years' Event Organiser.  If you haven't seen it before it's my Event Organiser Kit, designed last year to hold all sorts of things you might want to keep, plan or store for or from an event, like a baby shower, wedding, celebration etc..... oh and Christmas of course.  The box measured  8 1/2" high 10" wide and  7" deep has a lift up lid, two drawers a file folder and planner in it, and can be decorated in one 12 x 12 pad of paper.
It took me nearly two hours to work out where to start yesterday, morning,  there were papers every where and I dithered about for what seemed like forever swapping them around until I finally settled the traditional Christmas colours, St Nick on the front and a plain background on the box and album covers so the flowers popped off the paper. The album covers are quite flat (minimal which is my style) as they have to fit in a 2" wide space.  I finished making the whole thing at just after midnight.......................  but loved how it came out.  There will be a full project sheet available to go with the kit in the 'PDF Tutorials' section of my website after the retreat, so if you fancy making this fun project check out the link in about 10 days time.
I'm off to cut into the sixth and last 12 x 12 pad of paper and complete the last of our projects. ( I love it, and am totally inspired by all Diane designs).  Enjoy your day what ever you're up to and do call back again to catch up with the final project we'll be making  this weekend............. ta ta for now :-) C

July Giveaway and crafty Weekend in Milford Haven

Morning everyone, Happy Monday to you.  I"m home after a fabulous weekend with Cheryl, Jan and Chris, at their fabulous shop, In House Interiors in Milford Haven.  It was a full house on Friday for our Artisan Style workshop where we constructed, painted and altered pencil cases and albums.  Saturday was demo day and another full house.  Cheryl, Jan & Chris, thank you so much for hosting the event for all your hard work and your hospitality, you really did spoiled me :-)  It's been quite a while since I've travelled over the border to Wales so I was quit excited as I passed the Welcome to Wales sign and then Raglan Castle. For those of you unfamiliar with our isle, Wales is full of magnificent Castles, sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a gorgeous coastline.  I had to have a quick pit stop to see Raglan Castle. Saw my first Dragon too :-)   After a journey that took me across the middle of the country and th...
