Hi everyone, I hope you've had an enjoyable week and are looking forward to the weekend. I'm off out tomorrow to run our first one day workshop of the year and looking forward to meeting up with all the lovely ladies coming along for a fun day of crafting Picture Perfect albums.
This weeks release is our new Concertina Album. It comes in two styles, both measure 8 1/4" tall x 6" wide, one had six pockets and three styles of inserts and the other has twelve pockets and one style of insert making it perfect to make it into a Year Book or calendar. There's a full PDF Tutorial with video assembly guides for both styles of album, including the dimensions to cut your own album covers, a generic paper cutting guide so you can use your choice of papers and how to make the featured Concertina Calendar Album in the Fashion Forward collection by Graphic 45. Let's take a closer look at both albums.
Twelve Pocket Concertina Album
The concertina pocket section is joined to the covers of the album. When opened the inserts fan out beautifully. Each insert opens and has a pocket and tuck spot inside for photos and ephemera.
I'd been waiting for a project to use the Fashion Forward collection on and this one was perfect. Each insert used one and a half sheets of the Monthly papers and there's enough paper, carefully cut to decorate the front of the album too.
This version of the album has a closure band keeping it all together. I borrowed half a sheet of purple patterns and solids for the closure band but the whole project could be made from one 12 x 12 Fashion Forward Collection Pack.
Six Pocket Concertina Album
Decorated here in two House of Roses 12 x 12 paper pads , a new release from Stamperia this album has a gorgeous soft feel to it. The folding inserts give lots of surfaces to put photo's and makes a fun style memory book with a difference.
The front of the album has layered elements cut from the paper collection and a ribbon closure holds the covers together.

Love these Clare!
ReplyDeleteJust when I thought you could not get any more fantastic, you make these! You are amazing. I love the idea. How about using the remaining half page for a birthday card or two for each month? Thanks for your inspiration.
