My Top 5 Favourite Projects of 2019

Top 5 Makes of 2019 My Creative Spirit
Hi everyone, happy Friday.  I can't believe it's already the second Friday of the month and have a feeling this year is going to fly by.
I'm always getting asked if I have favourites amongst the projects I design so I took a look back at my 2019 creations and put together my Top Five to share with you, along with links to the project video and related products too.  Before I share them here's a bit of blurb about my approach to the design process.
Paper Sale - Jan 2020
Papers are an essential part of the projects I design.  We've got great savings on selected paper lines over on the website this month.  Click here to browse.
A bit of blurb ........
As a maker myself I'm always very conscious of the cost of crafting, and in my world the cost of the gorgeous designer papers we all have to buy, stoke and stash. With that in mind I try to create projects that make you want to use those papers and turn them into gorgeous projects. There's something very satisfying when you do that.
My designs are for the most part usable, made to be long lasting and as cost effective as they can be with minimal paper waste.  Taking the size of the paper pads we have to work with I create the outer part of the project to get the most from the size of paper pad needed.  A challenging task but the part I enjoy the most :-).  There's definitely an engineer in me somewhere lol!! who knew.
I create clean and unfussy pages allowing the photos to be the focal point and keep embellishments to a minimum (not everyone, everywhere has access to all the dies and punches on the market) so the maker can add personal touches from their own stash.
Now onto my top five designs from 2019.  Links to all the related products are under each of the launch videos on this post along with a few more links at the end of the post too.

The Photo Booth
Photo Booth My Creative Spirit Photo Booth My Creative Spirit
Launched in July 2019 this larger than life album measuring 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" gives so many possibilities to capture memories in.  With it's interchangeable sections it can be a scrapbook album for those of us that like to make 12 x 12 single and double page layouts,  and with the flip and fold page options maybe a holiday photo album, a year book, a wedding album, an album that holds pictures taken over a number of years for children or grandchildren to name and so much more.  With its sturdy MDF covers The five sturdy MDF cover sections with their integral magnetic closure are assembled using our Signature Black Construction tape to create a really professional looking keepsake.  This was one of the projects at my weekend retreat back in May and the ladies that made it created the most gorgeous keepsakes. My pictured sample was altered in papers from the Kaleidoscope collection by Graphic 45 (one of my Top 5 paper collections released in 2019), and took most of a 12 x 12 Collection Pack, 8 x 8 pad, 12 x 12 Patterns and Solids and one pack of ephemera cards to decorate.  If you love it and would like to see more samples do click on the video below, and the link under the video for related products.

No 2 - The Wide Folio Album
Alice Wide Folio Album
Scaling down to a smaller project the Wide Folio Album was relaunched in 2019 with a wider spine.  This fun sized album makes a great starter project if you're new to album making, can be made over a couple of nights or a weekend and is small enough to give as a gift without the making of it breaking the bank lol. My sample was altered in papers from the 12 x 12 pad (10 sheet) plus two single sheets of paper from the Alice collection by Stamperia.  The cover set is laser cut from MDF and can be assembled in the traditional way or with our Signature Black Construction Tape. Here's the video walkthrough and you can find all related products by clicking on the link under the video.

Voyage Fantastiques Book Box and Mini Album My Creative Spirit
Book Box and Mini Album Set
I loved this little set as soon as I'd designed it and have made up three or four of them as samples over the past few months. The set could be made into two projects by adding a set of double folding photo mat holders into the box on the inner cover and then make the album in to a mini using a different paper line. My pictured sample was altered in one Voyages Fantastique pad of 10 papers Voyage by Stameria.

Halloween in Wonderland File Folder
The File Folder
It's been a few years since I designed something with a ring binder mechanism in and really enjoyed working out the page structure and covers for this little beauty.  Again it's a smaller project (which I like) with four pages and a couple of strip sections to tuck photo s in.  I added an acetate waterfall section to the back of it which was new too.  It could be re purposed into a Filofax style diary/jotter or planner adding a pad of pages rather than making your own. Again there are endless possibilities with this nifty cover set with it's integral magnetic closure.  I As always I used our Signature Black Construction Tape to assemble the covers but the individual cover pieces could be assembled in the more traditional wrapping method. My samples were altered using one pad of Music (10 sheets) by Stamperia and a selection of 12 x 12 papers chipboard elements and stickers from Halloween in Wonderland Deluxe Collectors Edition by Graphic 45 .. one of my all time favourite paper pads.

Fashion Forward Picture Perfect Album
Fashion Forward Picture Perfect Album Graphic 45
This was my last design of 2019.  A reimagined version of a monthly kit from 2018.  With its deeper box this fun little album has feature photo frames and a waterfall for loads of pictures inside and all folds up into a neat box.  Another great way to capture memories of an event without making a traditional style album. I went for a festive theme for my featured sample to make a Christmas 2019 Memory Book and used the December papers from the 12 x 12 and 8 x 8 pad and the two green, red and yellow 12 x 12 patterns and solids papers from the Fashion Forward collection by Graphic 45. There's another sample shown in the video below altered in one pad of Imagine paper (10 sheets) by Stameria.

Here are the links to the craft essentials I use regularly in my projects.
Here's to a creative 2020. I hope I've inspired you to look through your paper stash and turn those pads into something you can cherish and look back on with fond memories.  Do leave a comment below and share pictures of what you've made using our kits on our Facebook page.  We'd love to see what you've made.
Have a great weekend, happy crafting and do call back to catch up with me and more of my makes again :-) C
