Weather stops Play

We were due to travel north up the M6 to take Harry to Blackburn Ice Rink and watch our fantastic Coventry Blaze Under 16's Ice Hockey team beat Blackburn (well we hoped :-) later today, but really heavy snow on the M6 over night put a stop to us getting anywhere near Blackburn today.
The house is all clean, washing and ironing up to date, kiddywinkies have been fed and have gone out, I've got a few spare hours so I got out some of the fab Artisitc Outpost stamps, now in at Ali Craft and some distress inks and this is what emerged lol!!!  I'm now covered in green pine needles distress ink that won't come off lol!!!!!

Creating Unique Crafts using Graphic 45 Staples

Hi everyone

Join Kristin, Maiko and myself over on the Graphic 45 blog today.  We've got some really crafty ideas to share with you in celebration of the gorgeous Graphic 45 staples and paper collections. Be inspired by Kristin's mood book, Maiko's keepsake box and my springtime tag with step by step instructions so you can make one yourself.

Happy crafting everyone :-)

Altered Art

Its been a while since I posted something so I thought I'd share some altered art with you.  I've been tinkering around with the 8 x 8 matchbook boxes, part of the G45's staples collection and with the help of some really black paint, a very sharp knife, a few sheets of chipboard, some fabulous paper from the Olde Cutiosity Shoppe collection by G45 and a little of my own inspiration I transformed an 8 x 8 box from this:

to this Curio Cabinet:

I couldn't resist adding a mini copy of the classic book by Charles Dickens on top of the cabinet
To see the full project and folio album inside just click the video link below http://youtu.be/dRR7hs_Mhq0
I hope this inspires you to make an altered project too :-)

My snow gremlin

Its funny what you can see in the snow.  Here's my very own little snow gremlin climbing over the top of the fence post.  I had to keep checking he was there and not up to mischief lol!!!  Not the best of pictures but if you look hard enough you can see his face, arm, an ear and his body sloping down the other side of the post!!

He's just a melted blob now!  How sad :-(

The Art of Card Making

We're sharing some fab card making ideas over on the Graphic 45 blog today (from 1pm GMT) along with some fun photo highlights from CHA Jan 13.

Hop over to see Tara's Secret Garden card, Maiko's Little Darlings card and a French Country card from me :-).  Sneak peek above.  Maiko's also done a great video tutorial to show you how her project came together.
