Vintage Hollywood ......................here we come!

H elllooooooo there, is it Friday already?  WHOP WHOP!! I've completely lost track of the time this week beavering away on a few projects here, one of which is the new addition to my little collection of folio albums.  Altered in the 8 x 8 pad and patterns and solids from the Vintage Hollywood collection by G45 it captures all the fun of the movies in true glitzy style of Tinseltown. As I was crafting away the oranges, greens blues and golds reminded me of Clarice Cliff pottery......... love her designs.    There's definitely lot's to like about these gorgeous papers including some fabulous darker papers that create a great backdrop for the brigher ones; For the cover of the album I decided to cut out the lovely starlet from the signature sheet and make her the star of the show, adding a little glitter and glossy accents to the flowers and border and them mounting her on an orange background........... I love that orange :-)  We have a PDF Tutorial to go with t

Altered in the new Midnight Masquerade collection by Graphic 45 there are stunning te

Another fun mini album make

Hellloooooo, sadly the eeeby geebies got the better of me this week after filming so I'm a little later than panned sharing the last of this weeks easy to make albums So here it is, a fun little 8" x 5" album, perfect to add a picture under each pocket on the pages. The structure is made from card/cardstock and is just the right size to alter in papers from the smaller pads we have in our hoards:-)    My Ambassador box arrived direct from Graphic 45 on Tuesday. Thank you Diane, Charee and Aimee for all the gorgeous new collections.  Each one is absolutely stunning.  Much as I wanted to get creating I could only bring myself to cut into three papers from the Midnight Masquerade collection to use on this little album. I found a pad of An Eerie Tale patterns and solids and used the purple and orange papers on the inside pages.  The colours from both collections work so well together. I had to add a few feathers to finish off the masks on the front cover..............

Valentine Day Keepsake Album and Case

Sending you crafty hugs this Valentine Day.  I'm sharing a fun Valentine themed album custom made to fit in my new 8 x 8 Shadow Box kit with you today. It's also making an appearance on the Graphic 45 blog today too, along with fabulous projects from design team members Kath and Maggie.  Click here to go over and take a peek . (after 1pm GMT) I had a rummage (I'm doing a lot of that lately) through my paper hoard (mountain lol!) and pulled out a mix of Valentine themed papers from A Place in Time, Time to Flourish and Sweet Sentiment collections by Graphic 45, teamed them up with black papers from French Country and Nature Sketchbook collections and crafted them into this fun little expanding album, all tied up with red ribbons that have the cutest little black hearts on the ends.  The album sits in our new 8 x 8 Shadow Box Kit which makes a great case to hold a keepsake.  I've customised the box, creating a hinged lid using my black construction tape and adding

A Picture Postcard Album

Morning everyone,  I'm really excited to be sharing my large Nature Sketchbook album over on the Graphic 45 blog today along with Pam who shares her fun nature themed Bird Box.  Nature Sketchbook online workshop It's quite a detailed album with a full on line workshop (link above) if you'd like to make it yourself. While I was flicking through the pages I thought it would be fun to go back to basics and share some easy ways to create albums with you this week. Albums don't have to be complicated to look gorgeous and sometimes it's refreshing to simplify things down, create simple structures and then let the papers you decorate them in shine out from the pages.   Over Christmas Annie, my sister asked if we could make an album for a friend of hers to give to her granddaughter, for all the postcards she she sends her from her travels.  Of course I said, so I had a rummage through all my old paper collections, gathered up a pile of Mother Goose papers and

An Fun Evening in Kenilworth

Afternoon everyone, we're all cozied up here, snow flakes are wafting around outside, the wood burner's on and it's feeling really wintery.  I headed off to our local cricket club on Wednesday eve to host a workshop for our local Womens' Circle and Tangent groups. Huge thanks Deb and Melanie for inviting me along and to all the ladies for joining me for our crafty evening.  It was lovely to meet you all.  During our evening we had fun assembling and decorating exploding gift boxes  kits in an assortment of papers from the Cafe Parisian collection by G45, ate cake and had a great time.  Here's a few pics of the busy ladies and their crafty makes.  Ready, steady craft............ Three different takes on the kit..............................  Cake anyone ............... I loved the serviettes .... Mel and her finished gift box .......... Most of the ladies from our crafty evening................. :-)  loved it.  Well it looks like the fi
