Only three more sleeps ...........!

Hi everyone, are you ready for the big day? With only three more sleeps to go I'm finally in the swing of festive season.  Oli's turned the grand old age of 24, Harry's home from Uni and I've been decorating and doing an early spring clean before putting up the tree and decorations. Now the house is twinkling, and we're all ready for Santa to come down the chimney, well the wood burner flu actually lol!!! on Saturday eve.   Today I'm sharing 2016 Christmas album, also on the Graphic 45 blog with a gorgeous card by Nico so do go take a look.  It was the fifth of the projects made from the St Nicholas collection I designed for us to make at November's Graphic 45 Retreat.  Packed full of detail there are four interactive pages and pull out mats, pockets and tags and lots of room for your festive photos.  The album can be made in or out of it's box cover. Here's a few more pics and the video of the full album too. There's also a PDF Tutorial to...

The Event Organiser St Nick style ....................

Morning everyone, c arrying on the theme from yesterdays post todays project offers another great way to organise an event and I'm really excited to be sharing it over on the Graphic 45 blog today too .  Do go and see todays fabulous makes from the other DT members. Since it's debut last year I've held an number of classes with the kit and we've altered it in a number of paper collections.  Kits and instructions have winged their way all over the world too.  Designed as an organiser chest it can be used as your central storage point for any event you have coming us or as a keepsake chest to hold all those treasured memories from an event you've held or been too.  Maybe as a wedding planner box, special birthday, retirement, baby keepsake box or as a way to keep yourself on top of organising Christmas Christmas which was my original thought behind the design for the kit. There's lots of storage through the centre sections for tags, bows, gift cards e...

Only 4 sleeps to go ...........!

morning, morning, morning........... I hope you had a lovely weekend.  It's been all go here, I'm on my fifth pad of St Nicholas paper and have just finished the fifth of our fabulously festive Christmas projects!!!! for this weekend.  There's four sleeps to go and one project to finish.....................!!!!!  I'll share that one with you before Friday.  The project today is this years' Event Organiser.  If you haven't seen it before it's my Event Organiser Kit , designed last year to hold all sorts of things you might want to keep, plan or store for or from an event, like a baby shower, wedding, celebration etc..... oh and Christmas of course.  The box measured  8 1/2" high 10" wide and  7" deep has a lift up lid, two drawers a file folder and planner in it, and can be decorated in one 12 x 12 pad of paper.   It took me nearly two hours to work out where to start yesterday, morning,  there were papers every where and I...

Countdown to Christmas 2

Morning my crafty friends, today I'm sharing the second of the three projects we'll be making next Friday.  I love our Christmas Lantern kit , and always start to feel really festive when I decorate it. This years version has been altered in papers from the St Nicholas collection (we have a choice of six projects at next weeks retreat all altered in these papers).  I've gone for the stripes again, they fit perfectly up the stand and decided on a black and red lantern with a hint of yellow inside so the flowers, mounted on black card pop out at you :-) I added a tea light (battery operated in the centre too.  Looks lovely in the evening twinkling away. The overall height of the lantern is 21", is assembled in sections and can be taken apart to be stored away until next year.  Lantern Kits are available from website if you'd like to make one yourself. Click here .   Its scrapbook day today so I"m off to grab a coffee and put my thinking cap on. ...

Counting Down to Christmas 1

Evening every one.  Today I'm sharing the first of the choice of three projects we'll be making on day one of my Graphic 45 Crafters Retreat next week.  Our Advent Calendar with a difference allows you to add your own presents attached to the number tiles into the box in true advent calendar style. You could theme your presents for someone who loves cooking, or gardening  or............. the possibilities are endless.  Pick the tile and follow the ribbon to see what's on the end.  Maybe just twelve presents for someone special, how about a table box for the big day itself with presents inside for everyone and names on the tiles.  So many possibilities and we've got just one day to make it in next week:-)  No pressure ladies lol! I've altered my sample in a selection of papers from the St Nicholas collection by Graphic 45 for a truly vintage feel ... love it.   The basic box is available from our website - click here to view  .  Her...

Edinburgh here I come

Evening my crafty friends, how are you?  Long time no typie typie from me lol!!!  It's been a right old topsy turvy week here.  After some time away with H we've been shopping for last minute things for him to fill up his new room at Uni and packing up boxes for us both to head off in different directions........ Him down south and me up north!   I've literally just finished the Recipe Box project for Saturdays class at the Edinburgh Trade Show. . Papers arrived here this morning but by the time I'd packed up the orders off the website, gone to the post office, the chemist, Tesco's, the doctors, then a trip back to them all to try and find my bank card that had mysteriously vanished somewhere between them all ( I didn't find it) it was gone 5pm before I sat down to take a good look at the papers and plan the project. They're from the Cafe Parisian collection by G45. Made me uber hungry while I was snipping them up - could have killed for a cake lol!!!...
