Dreamland and Live's a Journey collections have arrived....

Hi everyone, I hope you've had a good week.  The latest paper collections from Graphic 45 arrived here earlier this week and I've had a fun couple of days altering one of our Album in a Box kits in papers from Dreamland. If you haven't seen the collections let's dive in and take a peak at them both and then I'll take you through the project.  Dreamland   - a twinkling fantasy world full of storybook delight, perfect for childrens projects, and if you take a look at the B side of the papers the collection includes some fantastic papers that will work so well as backgrounds on any project too.  In addition to the two sizes of paper pads, patterns and solids, stickers, chipboard, and ephemera there are now die cut pieces too.  Each pack has 51 elements giving you even more embellishment options to add to your projects.  Life's a Journey  - if you're off on vacation or creating travel memories this collection is the perfect crafting partner.  In t

Crafting for Christmas ......

Hi everyone, thanks for calling by.  Today I'm sharing two new Christmas Paper collections with you, new in from Scrapmir along with some simple card ideas.  Our first collection is Nordic Spirits.  With a gorgeous mix of rustic browns, ice blue/greens, reds, snow flakes and pine cones the collection has a wonderfully rustic feel to it. There are 10 double-sided 190gsm sheets in the paper pack, which comes in both 12 x 12 and 8 x 8, and additional chipboard elements, epoxy stickers and flairs to add detail and dimension to your projects.  Here's a few card ideas from this collection a video walkthrough of both paper collections and card ideas for the second of our Christmas collections too.  I've used kraft card blanks for the base of my cards from this collection along with opera red mirror card to add a little shine.  For this card I took one small and one large out sentiment from the collection, mounted both on red card (the larger one is reversed) and the

How to Make quick and easy A5 Brag Books

Hi everyone, this week I'm sharing a crafty hack with you on how to turn our A5 Notebook Holder Set into a fun and quick to make Brag Book.  I've designed a number of insert options made from card/cardstock that can be decorated to co ordinate with the cover or left undecorated for more of a scrapbook look.  Another great gift idea for a stocking filler or birthday.  Here's a little info on the featured samples and pics of their covers, the video walkthrough of all three samples, links to all the supplies I used and then at the bottom of the post the 'How to Make' video link.   This includes dimensions to cut your own covers from chipboard, a full supply list, tool list, cutting guide for the pages and decorative papers and video clips to follow for assembly.   Kaleidoscope A5 Brag Book   .   For my Kaleidoscope sample I used the 12 x 12 Signature sheet from the collection to decorate the front and back covers, an off-cut of black and white paper for the sp

Time to Dream....

Hi everyone, if you're a lover of all things Alice I'm sure you'll love today's post.  The paper collection is by Scrapmir, is called 'Time to Dream' and although not new out on the market, it was a collection I hadn't seen until a couple of months ago. We just had to get it in to share with you all.  I thought the colours in the collection were really unique and all the characters we know and love are just as we know them from the Alice books by Lewis Caroll.  There are single sheets of cards; one of red roses, one of white roses and a whole sheet of cut apart with quotes from the stories on too.    The paper packs come in a set of 10 sheets, in 12 x 12 and 8 x 8 size, and are 190gsm. There's also die cut pieces (39), chipboard pieces (18) and the cutest 8 x 8 envelope sheet to cut up to make into envelopes and pockets. I used both paper sizes to decorate our Book Box and Mini Album Set and then added layers of chipboard and die cut pieces to
