Happy Easter and a mixed media makeover

Wishing you all a very Happy Easter.  With Storm Katie blowing a hoolie around us I'm wondering if the Easter Bunny decided to stay in his borrow and not hide his eggs around the garden.  Will go take a peek in a while :-) Yesterday I thought I'd give some of our new chipboard oblongs a makeover and morphed them into a wall hanging. I chose paints from the same colour family for my background to give a tome on tone effect and went with blue/greens, pinks for the raised tiles and silver for the edging and metals.  I've added a full supply list at the end of the post.  Here's a quick step by step on how it came together if you fancy making one yourself. Tape the tiles together on reverse, cover the front in a base coat of paint, I used Antarctic and Lake Wanaka. Stencil on detail using a flourish stencil and Inky Pool paint on cut & dry foam.   Add some random script to the background and  tile detail using the same piece of foam.  Reposition the mask

How to use our Construction Tape on your 3D projects

Top of the morning to you and a very Happy St Patricks Day    I  hope you're weeks going well and you've achieved all you set out to so far!!!  I'm not sure I have.  I did manage to sit down yesterday and film a short video on how to construct a 3D project using our range of black construction tape.  I've been talking about doing one for a while and can tick it off the to do list.  I altered one of my tag boxes in a couple of papers from A Ladies Diary collection by Graphic 45.  If you're G45aholics you'll know that this collection was out a few years ago and was huge sought after. It's been re released this year as a Deluxe Collectors Edition with digitally enhanced papers, some new designs, chipboard pieces and stickers.  I picked a couple of papers to alter my project in.   and here's the video on how to use the tape, assemble and alter a 3D project. The tape is perfect to assemble flippy floppy lids too. If you get in a mess with glue

I have my lovely friend Cathy Knight to thank for getting me back into scrapbooking.  It's been a while since I put some pages together but am totally hooked, As you'll know if you call by the blog I've been having fun with the joint scrapbooking party I'm running with Cathy (So much Scrap) and on Monday eve was invited to run a workshop at the Youth Centre with Melanie and her ladies.  We made up the layout I'd prepped for week 1 of our scrapbooking party using papers from the Worlds Fair collection by Graphic 45. Thank you for inviting me along Melanie and ladies many thanks for joining me too. It was great to meet you all and I hope you have fun adding your favourite snapshots to your finished pages.  Here's a few pics:    Melanie bought along her altered Book in a Box kit to show us all too, that she'd altered in papers from the same collection.  Doesn't it look great.  If you'd like to join in our scrapbooking party click here for

Here's a few pics from the day:  Just when I thought I had a few days to get myself ready to head off to Cornwall on Friday Harry gets an invite to an interview at Gloucester Uni on Thursday so that leaves me with two days to get sorted.  eeeekkkkk!!!!  so I'd best h
