hellloooooo and Happy Halloween everyone

With Halloween upon us,  that Trick or Treating to prepare for  and the witching hour creeeping ever closer I thought I'd share a halloween gift bag I made earlier this month for the Ali Craft blog.   It was one of a few I made from my favourite paper in the  Steampunk Spells collection by G45 . I started off with two pieces of A4 black card, scored the crease lines with my Scor-pal and then cut all the flaps, ready to stick together. Then I made the decoration on the front from the Happy Halloween cut apart, a couple of pumpkins and two Seymore Bones from the 12 x 12 and 8 x 8 papers.  I trimmed down the cut apart, cut out the sentiment and repositioned the bottom border under the pumpkins, then I shaped the two pumpkins with a ball tool to give them some dimension, added Mr & Mr Seymore Bones to the large basket with some pop dots and then stuck the pumpkins down over the ones on the cut apart.  Then I mounted the piece on black card and stuck it to the front of t

Having fun with hand made cards

I've been having fun making cards again.  With so many beautiful papers to choose from in the Twelve Days of Christmas collection it was really hard to decide which ones to use for this festive and traditional hand made card.  Eventually I went for a subtle background and then did a bit of fussy cutting :-) and added 3 dimensional poinsettias for a real Christmas feel.  I used the Spellbinder Labels 28 die set for the centre mount, the 12 Days Of Christmas cling stamps for the sentiment. and a little bit of gold glitter for a touch of Christmas Sparkle. G45 are sharing more ideas for hand made cards on their blog today.  Click the  link here to go over and see Annes Mother goose card and follow the tutorial for mine above.  I'm on Create and Craft TV again at 9am on Thursday morning with Stephanie.  We'll be sharing some  more G45 inspiration, their new collections and a few card making ideas, so if you're able to join us just follow the link below and then

Handmade gifts with G45 and Scor Pal

We're blog hopping again this week with Scor Pal and making all sorts of hand made gift ideas using the Scor Pal board.  G45 are sharing Maria, Anne and my projects today with tutorials on how to make them your self. Click here to head over to the blog to see them and the other DT projects that have been showcased this week.  There's one day left so it would be worth another peek tomorrow too.  Just for a change I'm up to my elbows in green fondant icing and modelling paste, making a rugby themed novelty cake for my lovely Uncle who's 75 on Saturday. Happy Birthday Hunky Peter.  Harrys been on modelling duty making rugby figures and I'm on rugby ball making duty, oh and the cake decorating too.   I'm not a great novelty cake maker but am really pleased with how it's turning out. I'll share some pictures with you all next week. Thanks for calling by, have a great day and catch up again soon :-) C

Something a little different

Happy Monday to you I was asked a few weeks ago who inspired me and my designs.  I can honestly say Sandra does.  I'm totally addicted to her artwork ( House of Zandra ) cards and templates and absolutely love the new Fabulous Fashion CD she's put together for Katie Sue Designs . After watching the show with Sandra and Noreen a couple of weeks ago on C & C TV I gave in and bought the CD for my collection.  Spellbinders sent us some dies in our last G45 DT box so I decided to put the two together, do some fussy cutting/decoupage and made these cards.  They're so adorable and really were easy to put together too.  Hope you like :-)  I haven't finished this one yet but here's the centre piece ready to mount.   Supply List Fabulous Fashion CD  Cream Card G45 Cor dinations 12 x 12 papers (darks)  Spellbinders Decorative labels 28  Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles Stickles  Glossy Accents  Distress Ink pens Aged Mahogany &a
