A New One Day Workshop in the North

It's been a wet old week here in the Midlands, not the best for the half term hols but I hope it hasn't stopped you from getting out and about.  I've been messing about with paper again and have finally finished three new projects for my intro as one of the new Graphic 45 Ambassadors. You'll be able to see them over on the Graphic 45 blog over the next few weeks.  Fleur Album and on line workshop  I managed to totally confuse my little Apple Mac and thought I'd deleted all the filming I'd done for the on line workshop that goes with my new album.  Thankfully Oli came to the rescue, retrieved the films and the workshop went live earlier this week.  I'd started to think I'd have to make a third one and start all over again!!  groan ….. anyway panic over :-)  New Workshop date in the North   I'm coming north in August to run a one day workshop at the Holiday Inn Rotherham-Sheffiled on Sunday 3rd August.  The project for the day will be a

A fun day with Clare Rowlands

Molly Blooms Card I hope you're enjoying your Bank Holiday weekend and if you've been out and about managed to avoid getting stuck in traffic jams.  My treat for the weekend was to drive over to SirStampalot yesterday in Peterborough to do a Clare Rowlands workshop (Molly Blooms).  What a fun day we had, Clare is lovely and sooooo amazingly talented.   We made two really gorgeous projects during the day and Clare introduced me to the totally amazing shrink plastic.  Can you believe I've never used it before.  Now I'm totally addicted.  Must say hi to Julie too, we sat next to each other and swapped papers and shared supplies.  Inspired after my day out I made the card above this eve and added two blue birds and a rabbit (suitably shrunk in plastic).   Shrink Plastic Molly Blooms Blue Birds We're off out for dinner so I need to shoot off.   If you're off tomorrow have a fun time, thanks for calling by and catch up again soon :-)

Something a little different

Florals Card - Pan Pastels  Did you wake up to rain like we did this morning.  And here's me thinking it was going to be hot and sunny again.  I was up early this morn, and while the house was quite thought I'd get out my Pan Pastels and have a crafty hour.  It's been a while since I've used them but wanted to make and entry for this months Pan Pastel Blog Challenge - Florals.   My rose is loosely based on my Granddads favourite, 'Glenfiddich' and then I used white to shade pinks purples and greens for the flowers and foliage in the background to give them a soft look.  Working on white flowers took me back to my cake decorating days and the hours of dusting white flowers that went into the wedding cakes I used to make. Heres a few close up pics of my finished card. Well I'm off back to chat to the camera now, so have a lovely day, thanks for calling by and catch up again soon :-) C

A weekend of crafting

By the Sea Beach Box  I hope you've enjoyed the sunshine this weekend.  It's been fabulous here in the UK but sadly Monday has crept up on us once again.  It's more of those all important exams for H this week.  Physics today at 1.30. I missed out on sitting in the sunshine but had two fabulously crafty workshops at Pink Tulip on Saturday and Daisy's Jewels and Crafts yesterday.  Over the two days we've cut into three G45 paper collections,  made four different projects and had loads of crafty fun along the way.  Here's a few pics  from our two days.  Pink Tulip - 17th May No publicity please, I'm crafting lol!  A Crafty Workshop at Pink Tulip - May 14   Daisy's Jewels and Crafts 18th May I'm having my Sunday today and heading out into the garden to tidy up, plant a few climbers I bought a couple of weeks ago that really should have been in and growing before now and enjoy the sunshine. Botanical Tea Double Photo Frame   I hope you enjoyed your weekend and yesterdays post showcasing Lyn & Karens fabulous samples.  I was up early for a Sunday morn and headed off down Ninas treasure trove of a shop ' ItsCraftingTimes ' in Shepreth to run a Botanical Tea workshop with her lovely ladies. I've not been to that part of the country before so was totally reliant on the sat nav to take get me there, and it did ……….  What a fabulous workshop area too, set out on a mezzanine floor with a view across the whole shop.  Definitely well worth a visit if you haven't been already, you could be there for hours browsing through all the products.   We had a great time crafting away on our Junque Journals and threw in a little shopped at lunch time too.  Purely by chance I started to look through a large black album by the till full of the most amazing heritage papers. To my amazement I found the Titanic papers I'd seen at Ally Pally a couple of years ag

A huge thank you to Lyn and Karen

Karen Richards Concertina Book Album  This is a special post today as a huge THANK YOU  to two very special ladies.  Back in April I asked my lovely friends Lyn Jones and Karen Richards if they would make some samples for the G45 show on Create and Craft in April.  It really stretches your creativity to make all the samples for the shows  and having done it quite a few times it was lovely to have some support this time and to be able to showcase Lyn and Karens work too.  The show flew by so quickly we didn't get a chance to share all of the fabulous pieces on air so today's post is Lyn and Karens, who together are the Creative Spirits.   Take it away girls ……….. x Karen's Projects   Lyn's Projects   I hope you enjoyed them, thanks for calling by and catch up again soon :-) C
