Artistic Outpost stamps now in at Ali-Craft

Hi everyone, I thought I'd post a post op update.  I've been doing my exercises, wearing those hateful surgical stockings and walking with my sticks for a few days now around the house.  Harry and I plucked up the courage to watch a video on You Tube of my operation.  OMG it was awful.  No wonder my leg is black and blue and seriously swollen lol!!!!   Yesterday I ventured out with sticks for the first time to get my hair cut and have a bite to eat.  It was lovely to be out and about and back in the real world but I'm paying for it today with a seriously painful and swollen leg and ankle, so have had a total feet up day in the hope that the leg improves a little before the end of the day. Fingers crossed.............. .  Staples and stitches due to come out on Tuesday.
If you're into stamping why not check out the Artistic Outpost stamps new in at Ali-Craft.co.uk.  These stamps have a unique vintage style, and come in a wide selection of themes to suite every taste.

Bird Song Projects on the Graphic 45 Blog Mon Nov 19th

Hello Everyone,
just a quick heads up to let you know that tomorrow Alberto and I have a couple of design team projects on the Graphic 45 blog. Both of them have been made from the gorgeous Bird Song paper collection and are full of oriental charm and inspiration.

Here's a sneak peak of my project. I used sheets of 2mm chipboard, carefully cut and stuck together with card tabs, painted black and then lacquered before being covered with papers from the collection.

To see more photos of this project and full supply list just click here to go straight to the graphic 45 blog from 1pm GMT Monday 19th November.
Happy crafting everyone :-) C

I'm home

Hi everyone

I'm home from hospital with a shiny new hip joint and socket,  a ton of painkillers which I'm tucking into, two new walking sticks, a sponge on a stick for a quick wash (no showers or baths for at least 6 weeks!!!) and a handy pick up thingy to help me get dressed, and pick up the things I can't bend down and reach for a while.  I've donated my bone to help others have the treatment they need too which feels good.
I've got some great helpers supporting me, especially Andy, aka the crafty elf, Oli and Beckie and H and would  like to thank them for what they've done so far.

I'd  also like to thank all of the theatre staff, especially my anaesthetist who was just a darling, the nursing staff including my oldest and dearest friend Linda and the three physio's at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham for all their help and support over the past few days.  They made what could have been quite a traumatic ordeal into quite a pleasant stay al…

Hobbycrafts Craft Fair, NEC, Birmingham Nov 2012

Thanks to every one who's called into the Ali Caft Stand to say hi. The make and take sessions have been a great success and its been lovely to meet you all face to face.  There are more make and take sessions tomorrow (Sunday) so if your coming to the show do call by the stand (A24) .  I've got lots of my Graphic 45 projects on display for you to look at and Ali has the G45 paper collections for sale on the stand too.
Here's a little something I made for the show. It's an oriental screen made from the Bird Song Collection.  The papers in this collection are really striking and truly capture the feel of the east.  There's loads of adorable images to cut out if you enjoy fussy cutting !!!! :-)  Happy Crafting everyone :-) C
