A Fabulously Crafty Retreat and I'm coming to Scotland

hello, hello, hello it's been a while I know ........ lot's has been happening this end.  I'm not sure if Harry reads my blog but I want to give him the biggest WHOP WHOP. After studying for his 3D Design Diploma his results came through. He didn't drop a mark over the two years and came out with distinctions in all subjects and an overall straight D*D*D* result.  His place at Gloucester University, he's off to study Landscape Architecture and he moves into his new accommodation on Campus on 17th September.   My baby is leaving the nest !!!!!! Congratulations H Bean - let the new journey begin :-)  I spent the best part of last week finishing off the prep and making up kits for my Summer retreat, and then spent a fabulous weekend with 16 lovely ladies at the Holiday Inn, Kenilworth.  Our projects this time (above) were a 12 x 12 Scrapbook with pages altered in papers from A Ladies Diary collection (PDF Tutorial will be out shortly) and an Event Organise...

Make yourself a Concertina Album

Morning everyone, what a wet washout of a weekend we had here.  Rain rain and more rain kept me in crafting after having a bit of a sort out of all my left over papers and embellishments.  I put together this fun little concertina album using Voyage Beneath the Sea left overs.  Measuring 6 1/4" x 4 1/4" its the perfect size to use the smaller 6 x 6 papers and you can fit your 6 x 4 photos in it too.  A great little album to keep in your handbag or to make as a keepsake from an event.  You can add as few or as many pages as you like and with it's ribbon closure you can just keep filling it up. Here's a few more pics from inside and a video link on how to make it too.  We had a great night at Harry's college last night.  I can't believe he's reached the end of his two years there.  The Art, Fashion and 3D Design students put on a great exhibition of their final end of year pieces and parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings...

Sharing some new projects....

Altered This N' That Boxes and Photo Frame set  Hello my crafty friends.  I can't believe it's been a week since I grabbed a coffee and sat down to blog. I've tried to take some time out to catch up on myself, create a couple of new projects for Graphic 45 to be shared next month, tidy up the web site stock, do the accounts and a whole host of other things that all of a sudden needed to be done. Sometimes I wish there was more than one of me so I could get everything done in a normal working day - but sadly there isn't lol.  The warm weather has bought visitors.  Next door is being rewired and the lovely workmen have had the radio blaring and all doors and windows open.  Mine have been shut tight as I've tried to work. There have been some feathered comings and goings in the front garden for a week or and now much to my horror we have a nest, eggs and perky birds taking turns to sit in our lovely ceanothus bush right outside the front window.   M...

How many Shakespeare quotes were there........... that is the question!

Evening everyone, I hope you've had a great day.  Huge congrats to my lovely friend Karen for completing the London Marathon in a great time.  If you called by yesterday you'll know we had a bit of a Shakespeare theme running through the post with a little challenge to count the number of Shakespeare plays mentioned.  Thank you to everyone who played along, counted up and left a comment.   It's time to reveal all...................... Bit of a sneaky question really there were eight references in all and two plays were mentioned twice so the answer to the question 'How many Shakespeare plays are mentioned.....' was six.  Here they are: The Merry Wives of Mullion (Windsor) - Play Title  Margaret, Margaret, where for art thou Margaret  -   Juliet in Romeo and Juliet Much a do about Nothing -  Play Title  Double Double toil and trouble - the Witches in Macbeth  What's in a name that which we call a Rose by any other would sm...
