Artistic Outpost stamps now in at Ali-Craft

Artistic Outpost
Hi everyone, I thought I'd post a post op update.  I've been doing my exercises, wearing those hateful surgical stockings and walking with my sticks for a few days now around the house.
Harry and I plucked up the courage to watch a video on You Tube of my operation.  OMG it was awful.  No wonder my leg is black and blue and seriously swollen lol!!!!
Yesterday I ventured out with sticks for the first time to get my hair cut and have a bite to eat.  It was lovely to be out and about and back in the real world but I'm paying for it today with a seriously painful and swollen leg and ankle, so have had a total feet up day in the hope that the leg improves a little before the end of the day. Fingers crossed.............. .  Staples and stitches due to come out on Tuesday.

If you're into stamping why not check out the Artistic Outpost stamps new in at Ali-Craft.co.uk.  These stamps have a unique vintage style, and come in a wide selection of themes to suite every taste.

Artistic Outpost released three London stamp sets a while back that I invested in for my colleciton.  I've made a few altered art pieces with them but they were bought originally to use to make myself a 2012 Commemorative Family album capturing all that we've celebrated as a nation this year, as well as some of my personal memories that have a special place in my heart.  Thats a work in progress but I will share it when it's finished.

In the meantime, here's one of my altered art pieces made using the "Loverly London" "London Elements", "London Underground"and Ephemera Backgrounds stamp collections.

How it was made:

I took three chipboard tags, sprayed them with Dylusions post box red spray ink, and then attached them all together with twill ribbon strips.   Then I cut three matts out of white card that were 1/4" smaller all round than the tags, base inked them with Adirondak latte ink brushed on with dreamweaver brushes, and then masked each one with red pepper Adirondak ink and the diamond mask by That Special Touch of........!,  and vintage photo distress ink over the mini Punchinella mask by Crafters Workshop.
All stamped images were stamped onto white card with coffee archival ink, and cut out and inked.  The edges of the images and colour detail on the stamps was added with distress ink pens.  Rather than laying the stamped images flat, I curled some of them, and layered them up to give a really three dimensional effect on each of the tags.
