Take the Time Card - IndigoBlu

Happy weekend everyone

Take the Time - IndigoBlu

I can't believe how quickly the weeks gone, in fact they all seem to fly by quickly these days.  It's been a hectic one but I did manage to cram in a little crafting time, my guilty pleasure that I can't do without, and I have a new card to share with you.
Take the Time - IndigoBlu
Here's the list of IndigoBlu supplies used and info on how to make the card yoursel
Cut three pieces of black card, two at 5" x 6 1/2", score each a half inch from the edge along one of the shorter sides, and one piece at 5 x 5" and stick them together to make the basic easel card with tacky glue.  Then cut three white mattes 1/4" smaller than the black ones, ink them all over with sandal Adirondak ink.  Take one large white and the smaller matte over stamp both using the same ink and the cog stamp for your background.  Stick all three mattes down to your card.
Card Front
Stamp the large watches image onto a piece of white card with black Versafine ink, cut it out and then cut a black matte 1/4" larger along all sides to mount it on.  Then cut a piece of black card 3' x 4 1/4" cover it in flitter glue and Lancashire Rose mega flakes.  Trim this matte so that its 3/8" larger than the smaller black matte with the watch image on.  then cut the last matte 1/4" larger around all sides than the one covered in Mega Flakes.  Stick them all together and then position and stick down to the inked matte on the front of your card. Highlight the large watch, and the word watches with glossy accents and leave to dry.

Card Inside
Take your remaining large matte and stick it to the inside of your card.  Cut a black card strip 5" x 1 1/2" and a white one 4 7/8" x 1 3/8".  Ink the white strip with sandal Adirondak ink, and over stamp with the cog die using the same ink.  Stick the pieces together and then to the card about 1" up from the bottom edge.  Stamp the pocket watch onto white card with black ink, cut out and add to the band on the card.

 Card Base
Stamp the take the time sentiment and just the large watch from the watches plate in black ink on white card and cut out.  Mount the sentiment on black card, add two strips of foam tape to the top back of the mount,  a little tacky glue at the lower back edge and stick down at an angle on the card base. Coat the watch with glossy accents, leave to dry, put a strip of foam tape on the reverse, attach a chain and stick down on the card base next to the sentiment to finish off your card.
Have a great weekend and have fun if you're crafting.  Bw Clare C

July Giveaway and crafty Weekend in Milford Haven

Morning everyone, Happy Monday to you.  I"m home after a fabulous weekend with Cheryl, Jan and Chris, at their fabulous shop, In House Interiors in Milford Haven.  It was a full house on Friday for our Artisan Style workshop where we constructed, painted and altered pencil cases and albums.  Saturday was demo day and another full house.  Cheryl, Jan & Chris, thank you so much for hosting the event for all your hard work and your hospitality, you really did spoiled me :-)  It's been quite a while since I've travelled over the border to Wales so I was quit excited as I passed the Welcome to Wales sign and then Raglan Castle. For those of you unfamiliar with our isle, Wales is full of magnificent Castles, sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a gorgeous coastline.  I had to have a quick pit stop to see Raglan Castle. Saw my first Dragon too :-)   After a journey that took me across the middle of the country and th...
