Our First Graphic 45 Weekend Retreat

Clare with some of our lovely ladies and their  albums

We've had a crafting extravaganza of a weekend, at our first "My Creative Spirit" Graphic 45 weekend retreat, held at the Holiday Inn, Leamington-Warwick.  We had a challenging 12 Days of Christmas memory book to tackle with all the trimmings in true festive spirit.
Helen, General Manager, James and Anna the Event Managers and all the staff at the hotel pulled out all the stops, both before and during the event to ensure that everything went as planned and everyone enjoyed their time at the hotel. It was fantastic.   A Huge thank you to you all and a huge huge thank you to all our lovely ladies for coming along, enjoying themselves and making the weekend such a huge success.  The feedback we received was quite overwhelming and very much appreciated.

Below are a few pics of everyone crafting away, cutting into their papers and enjoying themselves. I had to take a picture of our event sign too as it was our first  :-) I've been to many events over my years in the manufacturing industry but to see our name on the plaque was wonderful.

  2. Absolutely fabulous weekend. Lots of hard work (and that was just getting me to cut the papers!!!!!!!!). Really enjoyed it and making some new friends. I think Clare might stop Terry and I sitting together again because we were having too much fun and making lots of noise. The project was fantastic and I will get it finished. The sweetly bar was very popular. Looking forward to January's retreat. See you at the NEC.

  6. Imagine me on bended knee here - please please please come further up north.Manchester has some great hotels for retreats and so easy with train links for folks to get to. I don't drive and so can't make it to you down there plus the cost of travelling makes it too expensive. I'm sure you could fill a venue if you asked people on your blog if they would be interested as I'm sure I'm not the only one,

    1. I don't drive either, and know what you mean! I live in Leeds (where no-one ever does anything, lol), and getting *anywhere* by train is ludicrously expensive. Not to mention stressful! x

For those of you unfamiliar with our isle, Wales is full of magnificent Castles, sandy beaches, picturesque scenery and a gorgeous coastline.  I had to have a quick pit stop to see Raglan Castle. Saw my first Dragon too :-)   After a journey that took me across the middle of the country and th...
