Christmas Gift Idea - Candle in a box |
Can you believe we're on the 5th December already. I hope you're getting into the festive swing f things, have dusted off your tree, polished your baubles and shopped 'till you dropped ahead of the Christmas rush. I've opted for internet shopping this year and am nearly sorted, which is amazing for me.
We've been sharing some fabulous gift ideas for Christmas using the Twelve Days of Christmas collection by G45 over on their blog this week. Today we're using the Golden Rings paper and following the Five Gold Rings theme. There's another card idea from the amazingly talented Gloria Stengel, and a candle gift idea from me and video tutorial for you to follow if you'd like to make one yourself. (see link below)
On the 5th Day of Christmas gift |
Here's the tutorial
Keep warm everyone, have a great day and thanks for calling by :-) ……….. C
Hi Clare from a very cold and windy Laughton-en-le-Morthen in South Yorkshire. This is such a great project and would make an absolutely wonderful Christmas gift. Sadly I'm unable to watch your video at the moment as I and the OH are off out shortly for yet even more Christmas shopping but will certainly be watching it a little later and time permitting, may even have a go at making it!. Thank you so much for your continued inspiration and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Hi Margaret, hope you enjoyed your day shopping with your OH. Did you get all you set out for or did you get blown away. Its been an awful day but we've got off lightly compared to so many places up north. xx
DeleteLovely as always, C! What a stunning gift that isn't all that intensive. I'm sure this will be a keeper for many moons to come. Hugs, Ruth Ann XOXOX
ReplyDeleteHi Ruth Ann, thanks for calling by. Glad you liked the little old gift :-) Hows your Christmas shopping going. Are you all done, wrapped and relaxed? Hugs from across the pond xx
DeleteThank you for to totorial. The box is beautiful
ReplyDeleteHi Esther, thanks so much for calling by today. Happy Christmas to you and yours. :-) C
DeleteMorning Clare, Love it !! Love it !! Love it !! and what a brilliant idea, and so effective. I put our front outside lights out on Wednesday, I usually wait until after my Birthday on 12th but decided to do it early this year. They look fabulous, I have a living Christmas Tree in a pot at the front and 2 smaller ones at the back, and I usually decorate them with lights, I also strung lights through my wisteria and also on the climbing hydrangea, and they look gorgeous in the darkness, brightens up my end of the Close and makes me happy when I see them. I need Graham to go in the attic for the lights for the back garden, so that will probably be this weekend, fingers crossed haha.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you have nearly finished your shopping, I really need to do some cards, I have done some easy ones and some harder ones for my family, but have done nowhere near enough, as have had lots of Birthday cards to do recently and Christmas Fayre's etc,, and 'time flies' doesn't it !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Hi Patricia, thanks for calling by on Thurs. I'm so envious you've got all your lights up. I love seeing them in the gardens. I'm thinking about it all and know it will all happen, just not quite sure when lol!! Days are running out though.. Although I've been making cards I'm still behind with those too so really have to get a wiggle on this week. Hope you get the last of your lights up as planned this weekend. Have a good week and catch up again soon. Lots of love C xx
DeleteWAUW this is sooooo beautiful. Thanks so much for the great tuorial too, I´m definitely going to try this one right away, as I actually just finished a load of candles for gifts the other night, so this just came on the very best time for me, cause now I can also give them a beautiful box with it too, and it is soooooooo gorgeous.
