An Enchanted Tower

Top of the morning to you. I hope you're weeks going well.  I'm really excited to be sharing the first of my Graphic 45 Ambassador projects with you today, here and over on the Graphic 45 blog too, along with Jane Tregenzas' amazingly enchanting 'Happy Ever After' layout.  Two very different ways of using the stunning An Eerie Tale papers. Do head over, take a look and leave a comment.

TI'm always being asked where my inspiration comes from and to be honest its the papers. With this collection I was inspired by the fairy tale images and as theres always a tower in Fairy Tales I set about designing the basic structure for the tower from chipboard and then had great fun rummaging though my die collection to find castle themed dies for the ramparts and windows.  The three sections come apart and the top two could be used as a  sweets/trinkets keepsakes box on their own. The tower stands on a wooden candlestick that I up-cycled, and the hand made flowers are made from Graphic 45 Signature Cor'Dinations (darks) and Susans Garden flower dies.  I love those dies and now have one mahusive collection of them.  Here's a few more pictures of each of the pieces;

The flowers and ivy leaves are all wired together garland style and then twisted around the base just like you would on a sugar paste wedding cake.  Making them out of paper and not sugar paste was fun, no eating involved lol!

  5. Hi Clare, What a fantastic project which any little (or big ) girl would give their eye teeth for. I had to laugh when you commented recently that you get your inspiration from the papers; I often get ideas but will not put them into practise as I am loath to cut them up .and get quite upset when I see the 'sawdust mountain' that I often create. Still, I love following your videos and will be this pm as the football season starts again and I am able to have a whole afternoon to myself. Love Pauline A xx
